The resplendent Winningest Woman, working with the magical moves of Inevitable Angel plus some chewing gum, string and the portal, puts together the second best team in the country (at least) in a mere two years. This is the greatest rebuilding and turnaround job in WCBB history!
LSU's energy, grit and well-coached offense and defense won me over during the game. |

Really hard to win at this stage of the year when your stars play poorly. Amoore's performance tonight isn't good enough. |
No, but Morris was good enough. She never gets enough credit, probably because her rep preceded her.
Kim looks like a giant blob of fluffy cotton candy.

NCAA needs to keep in mind when seeding - intensity goes up in the tournament which gives athleticism a higher importance. It seems like every lower seed win was by a more athletic team.

FWIW, Kim Mulkey has never lost in the NCAA finals as a head coach

VT's players smiling/laughing in the handshake line is really annoying me.....They played soft, with no sense of urgency, and committed a bunch of unforced errors...The choke job started when Traylor committed a backcourt violation at the end of the 3rd qt....Just tell her to get the ball across half-court and hold for the last shot.

SAME!! Amoore was the only one I saw, but wtf. When the fans seem to want it more than the players, it's not a good look.

Angel Reese is a super star
She is an interesting hybrid of A. Wilson and Didi Richards
She will be a star in the W and if she can develop some perimeter or mid range game she will be a generational possible national team level player and even without it she impacts the game so much on defense that whoever drafts her in 24/25 will be one of the luckier teams to miss out on a top 2 pick in years
Also she is clearly going to be cast in the Angel McCoughtry villain role and that only makes the league more fun

Angel is just amazing to watch. I keep thinking how she'll possibly fit in at the pro level - she definitely can't play the 5 there. |
Angel Reese = Yolanda Griffith

I think they could have used Owusu in this game. Not just because they only play six players (how many championship teams only went six deep?). Owusu has athleticism and size.
LSU lost two games all year - #1 South Carolina and Tennessee and got a #3 seed out of the SEC. Virginia Tech lost 4 games (Notre Dame, Miami, Clemson and Duke) and got a #1 seed. The March 7 coaches poll did have LSU ahead of Virginia Tech:

Mulkey makes the other coaches look like hobos with her red carpet fashion.

Hmmm? I don’t think Reese is as big as Yo, but I can see the comparison.

I’m a big Brooks fan, but his game management left a lot to be desired. This was an absolute winnable game for the Hokies.

Well she would make a lot of worst dressed lists at red carpet events that’s for sure.

You're failing to account for the many more quality wins that Virginia Tech had than LSU.

Hmm I don’t see it at all. Reese is a 4 and Yo was a 5….they are both good at rebounding?

Agree. And the players seemed “too happy” after the winnable game. Kudos to them on a great season but they seemed content with the outcome. They let it slip away.
