Hear ye, hear ye, all ye faithful of the league! Ding, dong, Cinderella is no more! The bell has tolled midnight and we're left with the league leaders. The quarterfinals were unusually chalk-like as the Top Four Seeds marched onwards to the semi-finals in commanding fashion. The Wily Coyote overcame some disastrous games from Abby Feit and Rhyne Howard to trounce the surging Hoopmom 8.5-1.5 -- it really did help the Coyote that those unreliable Pirates of Seton Hall found a new gear for chucking the ball up and failing to adequately put it in the hoop. In the closest matchup of the week, it was #3 Myrtle escaping the Oversized Monster Mashers in #6 UC Bart by a slim margin. Myrtle held on for a victory by just over .6% in FG%, two blocks, and a paltry 13 points. Myrtle has become the unquestioned queen of the three with the barrage from downtown continuing led by Utti, Mikesell, Ramirez, and Frank! It will be an incredible feat for anyone to snatch any points from Myrtle from beyond the arc. Adam survived a scary proposition with Caitlin Clark being Tbinta's last player against Maryland on a Monday night, alas, Clark had a fairly pedestrian night allowing #2 Adam to escape into the Semi Finals. In the last matchup of the week, there were rumours that #1 Undersized Post might be forced to play with 5 players due to a rules infraction; however, after much discussion and multiple appeals from both sides, the Rebkell's Arbitration Committee ruled that Undersized Post would indeed to get a full roster against the Mighty Pureform. Outstanding performences from Ameshya Williams, Jasmine Dickey, and Dyaisha Fair led the way for the Undersized Posts against Pureform. They all seemed to adopt a video game tendency for their offense this past week, setting a multiple new records, including most points scored in a week. Speaking of records, the record books have been absolutely obliterated as 5 new weekly records have been set during Week 13 between UCBart, Undersized Post, and Adam.
In our consolation matchup, it was HoopSMom who snatched a victory against OK State Guy, 6.5-3.5 -- but there very nearly was disaster. If OK State Guy had sunk just one more three pointer, the matchup would have ended in a draw. Alas, the fates are cruel, cruel overlords sometimes.
As we march forward, there is still plenty to play for. Undersized has been proclaiming this tournament doesn't matter since they won the regular season; however, I'm sure that others will beg to differ depending on how things play out over the next few days. With that being said, teams, please start your engines, and may the best team win!

How I miss my Big Mac!
And if Ayoka has another 60 point game against OK we are sunk.
Looking at the brackets, that word 'losers' is pretty ugly. Can't we be a little more PC and come up with a better word? How about 'alternate'? or maybe someone else can come up with something better.
[yeah, I'm thinking of my near future positioning]

We could always rename the consolation brackets the Shannon Coffee Invitational Tournament. Don’t ask why I always bring up Baylor slayer Shannon—one of my favorite moments as a Stanford fan.

I’m going to keep my lineup at the same, and just use the first game for each player. I’ve been busy this week, I have a very heavy load at work right now, so I don’t have time to look at schedules.

Graham not getting the job done for you. Gonzalez wasn’t at her best either. Whew, much more to be played!

yeah, Tegan's one who has had great games when I don't take her, but every time I take her, it's ugly. We would have been better off with Harding. Hindsight is great!

Was at the game. Her conditioning definitely took a hit, but that's to be expected. Still played well. Coaches definitely played her less minutes than they usually would have in a game that was that close. Probably trying to pace things so she can peak in the postseason?

good to hear anyway. both of our other TFs have not been getting the job done so it will be a relief to have a choice.

She may have only shot 1-4 but I'd credit that more to NW's zone being packed in tightly, not letting her get touches.

at this point, it looks like between Adam and me, it depends on who gets the least worst lines. Both of us have some bad ones.
My problem is that he's gonna have Joens and Lee to clean up any problems.
I should have played Mikesell today. But hopefully her 'hot' hand continues.

As it stands, we’ll have to use our tiebreaker for you and Adam. Undersized is insanely mad that I need two points and one rebound from Lauren Ross to have an improbable victory against them.

As we come down to the last moments of this week, #5 Seed Hoopmom is the only one who’s holding up chalk so far for the seeds. Every single other matchup sees the higher seed in dire straits with just Lauren Ross of Western Michigan and Caitlin Clark of Iowa left to play. I’ll get to use my fancy new tiebreak methodology for Myrtle and Adam’s semifinal as they have both tried very hard to avoid the finals with some terrible shooting this week, but Myrtle currently has a slight lead in the tiebreaker.
