Shayeann Day-Wilson to Duke. The star of the Canadian Youn National team averaged 18, 6 & 6 at the U19 Worlds, good for second in both points and assists for the 5th place finishers (tangent: Sika Kone and Fanta Kone - no relation - of 4th place Mali finished first in those respective categories). She could push de Jesus for the starting point guard role. Kara's building a powerhouse.
That's the last of the major players left on the board. What a wild offseason.

....is this as per Raoul's board, or are you just using a figure of speech?

I've lost track of Eleanore Marciszewski, formerly of JMU, who was once a rising star on the Canadian Youth National Team (but has since outgrown it). She transferred from JMU this spring. Did she go to St. Bonaventure, or was that Nikki Oppenheimer?

It looks like she is at the University of Tampa, which seems a surprising choice.

That is weird. I think she graduated already though

Raoul. Interesting note on that: according to the transfer blog, 228 players transferred out of P5 schools while only 132 players transferred to P5 schools. However, the difference is likely offset (and possibly and then some) by the 5th year returners.

Apparently the rumors on Moon are Duke, Rice or back to Baylor. Depending on whether she’s thinking grad school or her teammates.

According to Waco's most reliable sports reporter voice, Moon said she is definitely not coming back to Baylor. Apparently she is looking for a better fit for her grad school (medicine). Tulane is also supposed to be in the mix.

They had to transfer / announce by July 1 to get the waiver. In future years it will revert to May 1 (I think). This year was longer because of the amount of “stuff” happening, including rule changes and COVID.

WTF is going on with Aquira De Costa? The 6'0 Jr Wing from Sacramento, who committed to Sacramento State just a few months ago, has now signed with Shawnee State, a NAIA school in Ohio!! She started her career at Baylor, then transferred to Loyola Marymount before committing to Sacramento State and then reneging on that commitment to go down to the NAIA school.

Is there something psychological going on with this girl? Is it a need to forever be the #1 player on some team, no matter what team it is, or the search for the "perfect" coach (meaning, one who lets her play her game) or what? I would be very wary of one who can't keep a commitment.....

She took the past few years off from basketball following her transfer to LA to take care of her mental health. There were reports that she was hospitalized due to depression. Hopefully her return to basketball means that she has acquired the help and practices to carry on a successful life.

Someone on the Baylor board reported that Moon confirmed Tulane and nursing school to him/her today. Apparently the LSU issue was that their nursing program is based in New Orleans not Baton Rouge and the logistics weren't going to work out.

Not only is it a noble profession, but the opportunities are endless right now. And if someone has the ability to be a travel nurse, the money is absolutely crazy right now. I have a friend that will make just under $50k for a 13 week stint. She will have no room & board expenses so will just pocket $1100/week in tax free per diem. Plus, there is such a shortage, she can pretty much pick where she wants to go as there are openings all across the country, including Hawaii and Alaska.
