So, it would seem that this team qualifies for a hardship player. Former Sparks Kristine Anigwe, Kalani Brown, and Reshanda Gray are still out there... |
Now sure about Gray but both Brown and Anigwe have done time in LA. |
Reshanda Gray was with the Sparks last season

So was Anigwe.
Personally, in order, my preference would be Anigwe, Gray, and Brown.
I never realized why we always carried five posts on our roster, especially as usually only three regularly played, until this year. |

This team needs to trade meager assets for a first round pick next year. I suggest starting with Fisher...

I can't believe they haven't already signed someone. They have another game tomorrow. They won't be playing teams as bad as Indiana again.

Wouldn't be hugely surprised if they're waiting for Anigwe to clear waivers. |

Personally I like Samuelson a whole hell of a lot more than I like Anigwe. She's not just a shooter, and you realise that after a while of watching her. She also has a tendency to make those little extra dirty-work plays that teams need from their role players. Unfortunately, she has the misfortune of not being 6-4. So they'll probably cut her once someone is back and keep Anigwe. |

I thought you couldn’t cut somebody who is injured on the job, but maybe her injury wasn’t severe enough.

Karlie has been a breath of fresh air, with high effort and smart overall play. Kristine has been looking better more lately than she did earlier, but I can see why Fish prefers Karlie's overall energy and level-headed play.
Bria is a tough call, but, facing lottery team status and with the season almost halfway through, it becomes a matter of keeping the most available talent on the roster & court.

Dream should take another look at Holmes. She did seem like a useful player for a while and they really need a 3.

Samuelson had a good game the other day......That's more than what bria has done all season . Does she stick when Vadeeva returns ? Probably not but glad to see her get a shot !

Lauren Cox to the Sparks...

Sources: Sparks are finalizing a deal with 2020 No. 3 pick Lauren Cox for the remainder of the season. Sparks also plan to bring back Karlie Samuelson tomorrow and terminated her today to make cap room for both. Pending physical, Cox could be available tomorrow. |
But where exactly will Cox find minutes once the Ogwumikes get healthy & Vadeeva arrives? Unless this move for the Sparks is a sign that one or two of those things is now not gonna happen...

Russia ain’t in the Olympics. Vadeeva could have come over already if she wanted. I don’t see her coming this season.
