28-16 halftime. Yep, USC only scores 6 pts in the 2nd Qtr. - they put in the reserves to try to give Wilson and Spann some rest - because lately they've been having to carry the team - and the reserves show why those two have been having to carry the team....

Gamecocks win 76-58. Bright spots for the game was Alexis Jennings led the team with 25 pts, and A'ja Wilson had her sixth dbl-dbl game in as many games played, with 17 pts and 17 rebounds. A very sporadic and inconsistent game.....

We have a tendency to do that to people.
A team with good post players, including the #1 overall pick-to-be, is not a good match-up for a team with pretty much no post players, especially when one of said minimal number is injured.
Did anyone pay for the feed? Any of my team look good?

I thought Wellere stepped up in the 2nd half - she led St. John's with 14 pts on 4-8 shooting, but ultimately fouled out. Her and Hoppie came into the game tied as leading scorers, with 16.7 ppg averages each. Hoppie struggled however shooting 1 for 8 and only scoring 4 pts.
Kayla Charles also played well, with 8 pts on 2-4 shooting and 10 rebounds, in only 17 minutes of action. She also dealt with foul trouble, and ultimately fouled out....
Overall St. John's struggled from the field in the 1st half, shooting 4 for 31 (13%). They came out much better in the 2nd half, and shot 14 of 27 (52%) after halftime, and basically scored with USC, but was in too big of a hole I guess...

I only watched a little of this one, but every time I see them, it looks like Wellere is their best player.
