Hello One and All! I thought that it would be fun if we did a Rebkell WNBA Draft, as if we are the GMs of the Teams! We had done it in previous years (2014, 2015, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 with stormeo) and I'm hoping we have enough interest to do it again. So I'm here opening this thread up to see if we have interest in doing it again!?

What We Need: A GM for each team to select their draftees from the 2022 WNBA Draft Class in ALL 3 Rounds

When: We will begin as soon as we have all the teams assigned... BUT WE WILL BE SITTING DOWN AND DOING IT ALL ON SATURDAY OR SUNDAY THIS WEEKEND (APRIL 9 AND/OR 10) if we haven't gotten done yet. So once we have all 12 GMS, we can discuss on whether we want to begin with a rolling draft and/or a rolling draft/set date combo

How It Works: You have just been hired as the new General Manager for one of the 12 WNBA Teams. It is your job to select the players in the draft positions you have that you believe would be best for your organization! [We will just stick with drafting this year in the order we have.]

If you are interested, post what team you would like to be in charge of. First posted gets the team. You want to get a few posters to do it together or you can take on the challenge yourself! Whatever works best for you!

I enjoy playing this with everyone. But since Chicago doesn't have ANY draft picks this year I will pass. Plus I really didn't watch a lot of college games this year so I would just be throwing darts at a dartboard blindfolded if I were to participate.😁

I'll take Connecticut. Their picks have very little chance of making the team, so I can go wild. Though if someone else really wants them instead, I will happily do some other team...or none.

I was going to take CON again for the 3rd time, but looks like I got beaten to it Razz

The last time I took CON, it was 2019 and I had the #9, #21, and #33 picks. I drafted Napheesa Collier, Li Yueru, and Kiara Leslie, respectively. Phee became an All-Star, CHI just traded for Li this off-season, and Kiara was actually drafted by WAS with the #10 overall pick! Exclamation

Unfortunately, Kiara Leslie tore her right knee before she even took the court and was never the same.. However, the fact that I drafted a player in the 3rd round, and Mike Thibault drafted that same player in the 1st round.. tells me a lot and gives me more of a connection to the team. Mr. Green

In keeping with all the other half-hearted commitments, I volunteer to be the emergency backup for New York if no one else steps up. New York fans, please note: I may be forced to pick Emily Engstler. In that case, a lot of your heads will explode. If you don't want that, then maybe you should replace me.
