I know we did something similar last year and I thought it was fun and others have mentioned that they would be interested in doing again this year. So I'm here opening up the thread to see if we have enough interest in doing it again.

Last Year's Thread: 2014 Fantasy Draft

What We Need: A GM for each team to select their draftees from the 2015 Draft Class in all 3 Rounds.

When: Sometime before next Thursday's actual Draft - discussed with the 12 GMs.

Trades: GMs can discuss trades via PM and then send it to the commish (lynxmania), who will then posts it in the thread.

If you are interested, post what team you would like to be in charge of. First posted gets the team. You can get a couple of posters together and do it or just by yourself. Whatever works for you!

Teams and Their GMs:
Atlanta - mavcarter
Chicago - sigur3
Connecticut - AAOK34
Indiana - FollowTheCardinalRule
Los Angeles - GEF34
Minnesota - blaase22
New York - J-Spoon
Phoenix - hangtyme24
San Antonio - TotalCardinalMove
Seattle - Shades
Tulsa - OldGoat
Washington - myrtle

Can we choose our own favorite team? If so, sign me up for the Sky.

You definitely can have Chicago! As long as you don't disappoint mavcarter and UDelaware.

I'll pick for the Sparks, unless someone else wants to play and really wants the Sparks.

Myrtle was Pokey last year.

Yeah, but Pokey just didn't listen to her alter ego or else she'd have traded Young! lol.

I'd like to be LA this year, but if an LA fan really wants it, I will defer.

But do we get to propose trades with other managers as well?

oops I see GEF already did LA. I was getting excited about changing up that roster. ok how about Indiana. have to wait a long time to see what's left.

It's up to you two on what you would like to do with LA. GEF did post first, but more than seemed more than willing to let you have it. Just let me know the final result.

EDIT: Looks like GEF will get LA and myrtle will get WASH

no, no, you're the true fan. I just thought I'd have some fun with it.

ok changed my mind again. Indiana only has one pick. That's too boring. Can I have Washington. Mike T. and I are good buds.

I think this is a neat idea. I think we can allow trades, if both sides agree to terms and all players think this is a good idea.

Look out everyone, myrtle has got something up her sleeve! Razz Laughing

Thanks myrtle!

And I like the idea of trades, it would certainly make things more interesting.

BTW what happens with the current roster, do we waive and/or sign people (like cored or restricted free agents), or how does that work, I don't remember what you all did last season.

I was also going to ask if we can make trades. How is that gonna work? GMs discuss them via PM and then send it to the commish, who posts it in the thread?

Let's do it this way. This seems like the best way to do this.

I'm the acting commissioner, if anyone wonders. Razz Wink

Perfect. Now for the date, I vote for sometime this weekend. I'm free on Friday too but weekdays will likely not work for me unless we host it late at night.

This weekend sounds good, maybe Saturday during the day some time.

I'd also be ok with Friday night sometime, if that works for anyone.

I'm against the trade idea. The draft took about 3 or more hours last year without trades. Took a lot longer than the real draft. This is supposed to be an interesting exercise, not some sort of huge investment.

I think myrtle wants to start an all season WNBA fantasy league, which is different than this.
