I believe that The Liberty are trying to :
Sign JJ
Sign Stewart
Sign Dolson
Sign Marine after the Olympics
Trade some bench players they have now
I hope we get some word this coming week

Assuming Han got credited with a Year of Service last year then she would be affected by Prioritization and therefore not be able to play in the WNBA this year without showing up on time (I'm trying to check on whether that's the case). Johannes, due to some Years of Service messiness, is not limited by Prioritization rules this year and therefore could play in the W this year without showing up on time. |

Interesting. I was beginning to wonder if they didn’t have enough cap to go around to bring back Stewart ant super max and Jones.
Unfortunately our only bench players at the moment are Thornton and Sabally and I like both of them. And Thornton is the only one making a bigger contract. It makes me wonder if they might try to sacrifice Laney who makes around 180k to free up cap and bolster the bench.

At this rate we'll be able to field an even-years team with the domestic players and an odd-years team with the internationals.

With Dolson heading to the Mystics and Han most likely out for the summer, who'll backup JJ (assuming she re-signs) in the post?n Hopefully not just Nyara.

Germany just qualified for the Olympics for the first time in history. So there is also the possibility Nyara doesn't come over before the Olympics or leaves early for their training camp.

Wonder if Sandy gauged Marianna Tolo's interest while they were down in Brazil this week

Anigwe, Hebard, Cubaj, Shook, Cox
I would say use pick 11 on a post but we also have no coverage behind Sloot and Ionesu except for Laney sliding over
We will probably be very active on the waiver wire

Stewie re-signed!
A one-year, non-guaranteed pact, and below the player maximum salary.

If Stewart took closer to 200=225k than the super max maybe we can afford a couple vet minimums on top of our current signees and draft picks 11 and 15
When teams are going for it they often prefer a vet to a newbie so maybe someone like
O. Sims or T. Plaisancxe? D-Rob or C. George?

Ny needs to target Sims for her defense, not no damn Quigley.

Just wanted to pop out to suggest for WNBA Draft from East Carolina
The most sleeper player nobody is talking about would be perfect for the Liberty
Danae McNeal
She not only can score, (20.9 pts) but she's plays great perimeter defense to help out Sabrina and Vandersloot. 8th in the country Steals (3.2)
I really hope Kolb is really out here scouting and not just focused on all these foreign players he brung in for training camp

I'm all for underdogs, but 28% from three and more turnovers than assists at the mid-major level does not sound like a WNBA player to me.

Now that we can afford a vet minimum or two I hope we will solve our perimeter defender and back up post that way
If we do it with the draft I hope C. Osborne is still available at 11
And I would probably target C. Taylor at 15 not much offense this year but she seems like a good defender and has a pro kind of maturity that seems like it will translate and I remember her be a ok shooter and scorer in her early years at Texas and Duke
As draft posts go I am not sure there is anyone who will be available at 15 who will be better than the waiver wire options maybe J. Carter?
