For the record I was just thinking removing the word "Low" from the start of the thread title, not changing the whole intent of an existing thread.

The greatest Public Relations ever :
Before the August 11th game starts , Joe Tsai
goes to the court to welcome the fans to
the Barclays Center and to announce that The New York Liberty
will be playing the 2020 season here ...and renewal forms are
outside for you to get at halftime . |
I've had dreams of this happening tho I have it at half and let the reps circulate...timing works for renewals...I agree it's a dream but one that would bring me to tears of joy if it happened |
I'd shed even more tears of joy if he followed the announcement with an introduction to the Liberty's new head coach.

NYCGBL is doing a big promotion and they've worked out a deal with the Liberty to have a select number of people participate in a fan tunnel. Given how interlined all of the gay rec leagues in NYC are, I expect a good turnout from that.
As far as the Libs promoting it, aside from Facebook ads I haven't seen anything. And I live in Brooklyn and take the train into Manhattan every day. I had hopes they'd really get the word out in Brooklyn at least.

Yes! I'm coming from Connecticut as I'm there for work. 2 hour train ride into NYC plus a 30 minute subway ride into Brooklyn.

I have not looked at the board in a little while. Great idea.
Thank you for your consideration.
Looking forward to the game!

Outside of a few side pockets of seats, it seems to be selling well. Hoping for some last minute walk-ups like they always got at MSG. Curious what the lower bowl at Barclays holds. 8k? 9k? Very excited for this game!

Sweet!!!!!
PAID number more important but I see that as good as well you figure aside from a few youth groups and sponsors all seats are paid in looking for 5-7 PAID 8-10 total
Downstairs at Barclays holds a bit less than msg so I'm hoping stragglers in that quasi 2Nd deck club level
Ps I still have my natural seats available if anyone has last minute folks free just pm me

Zahui B ruled out for the game. This should give Han some minutes and make the fans very happy tomorrow.

I'd love to see Han get some PT, but I wouldn't consider it a sure thing. In the one-point win over Seattle, while Zahui was at Eurobasket, Han didn't play. The post minutes were distributed as follows: Charles 33:18, Gray 27:11, Raincock 12:24, Warley-Talbert 7:06. For this game, Smith can easily reallocate the AWT minutes to Nayo. Han did play 10 minutes in the second Seattle game, but only after it became a blowout.

I'm coming to the game tomorrow. I'm hoping the team will play in Brooklyn next season. Indeed, I believe this is already a done deal and has been ever since Joe Tsai bought the team.
But why would moving to the Nassau Coliseum be the end of the New York Liberty? The franchise survived playing in Newark and playing in Westchester. What evidence is there that the Liberty wouldn't survive playing in Nassau?
