Ohio won over Middle Tennessee 59-57 on a last-second layup by Cece Hooks. It was the ugliest game of the year, featuring plenty of unforced turnovers, missed layups and free throws. It was also the roughest game of the year, with lots of knockdowns, bruises and bleeding on both sides - with a lot of no calls. Refs must have been used to working UFC matches.

JMU beat South Florida 71-54 at the Convo Center in a fast-paced, physical game that featured the return of Kamiah Smalls to the Dukes. Her presence seemed to make all the difference, even though she played only 28 minutes. Jackie Benitez was ticking all the boxes as she scored 26 points and was a beast on defense.
We probably could not have done it if they'd had Kitija Laksa. But if they'd had her, maybe they'd have been in the NCAA.

Northwestern at WVU
VaTech at JMU
Idaho at Arizona
plus some others.

VA Tech at JMU is going to be VERY interesting. Their coach used to be our coach and is still very much loved here. Our coach was his assistant, and half our team played for him or was recruited by him. So whichever way the game goes, it will be interesting...and it's probably the only team our girls wouldn't be completely PO'd about losing to, although being the fierce competitors that they are, they certainly wouldn't be happy either.

Nice comeback win for Pepperdine - DeLisha rolls on. I know they've been in the NCAAs before, but I was surprised to read that these 2 WNIT wins are their first postseason wins in the NCAA era.
