Libs may finally have someone to beat...but I wouldn't bet on it. I mean Indy has got to win a game sometime.

It's sad that the Pride game last year at MSG drew over 11k and this year we'll probably only see 1,500 at WCC.

Could Indiana be thinking revenge? They should have won the last matchup and it seems kelsey mitchell is becoming more comfortable game by game. NY are the only team to need OT to beat Indiana so im not so sure it will be a cakewalk.

Even worse this is a trap game and a near must win for the Liberty.
Indy is playing with house money, they're down their best veteran player and best post scorer in Dupree. They're on the road and aren't expected to win so all the pressure is off. NY on the other hand is struggling, might have some chemistry issues trying to reintegrate some of their players who have missed a lot of time, seem to be having an identity crisis and if they lose to the current worst team in the league on their own "home" court could also be having a crisis in confidence that could keep them on a downward spiral. NY is already 2-4, 2-5 is a pretty deep hole to climb out of even this early in the season.
I would basically sick our two best perimeter defenders on K. Mitchell and Wheeler and see if anyone else on the fever can make the offense happen.
Also Charles needs to get a minimum of 20 shots against the less than overwhelming Fever front court.

Looking ahead, we have 8 games in 14 days starting 6/22. By then, you’d expect Boyd and Sugar to physically be able to handle more minutes. I’d expect Stokes to be back at that point too as she’s only in a boot. Piph’s concussion obviously is anyone’s guess. But I feel if we have a solid 11-player rotation for that stretch, it’s going to be imperative. No way we can stay 8 or 9-deep for that type of stretch. I think people are seriously underestimating the team but I’m good with that. Adding Boyd, Nurse and Coleman to a 22-win team should count for something, even with the talent spread throughout the rest of the league.
That said, we are shooting 29.4% from 3 in an offense that has resulted in a stunning amount of open 3s. I can get on Katie for the lineups at the end of games. I can also question the poor ball movement in the final four minutes of games (where Tina is getting killed in the post and they don’t reverse the ball to get her better post position on the weak side). But generally speaking I love what they are trying to do. Turnovers are down, open shots are up and Tina definitely has more room to operate, even with all our missing players. Once they clean up the late-game stuff they’re going to be ok. Can’t dig too deep a hole though. Kelsey Mitchell is hitting her stride now. Without Dupree this isn’t a game we can afford to lose.
All the above said, I think in a few weeks the Libs will look very different in terms of depth, rotations and hopefully winning.

so NY is seeing if they can either keep the ball out of Tina's hands...or give it to her for 20' shots. hmmm. great plan.

how about actually use her when she's in.
This is just ugly bball.
Boyd can't make a layup...but makes a three. Lots of flash anyway and some nice passes.

Charles took 6 shots in the first quarter. That's not using her enough?

i was typing that i don't mind watching KMitchell fuck up as a result of her ball-hogging college bs style (she dribbled around on the perimeter, made a worthless 4-ft pass, received the ball back immediately then dribbled herself into a corner double-team and threw a turnover), when Zow B clocked her with a wonderful, legit screen.

I'd like to see Zahui play alongside Charles. They seem to have a good two-man game. Hasn't happened so far in this game.

I just don't understand how the box score on .com is behind. ESPN is typically up to speed.

It would be nice to hear the announcers over the background noise. Well, I was thinking that, but actually what I can hear, they aren't really talking about the game anyway. So mute is in effect. Of course, the game is so ugly it's hard to blame them for trying to find something else to talk about.

Well, it's kinda the same with Wheeler...which to me indicates another problem...like the no offense, offense. Not much movement until somebody gets the ball, then they try to do it all by themselves.
