Anyone else thinks that Stocks looks like Ivory Latta? I kept thinking Latta was on the sidelines. |
She does have those Latta ever wide open eyeballs, but don't really see much more resemblance than that.

To me the Liberty team from last night would be anywhere between 8-10 overall, an ominous feeling not knowing the status of some players. Having seen every team this weekend and trying to project forward, I’d be comfortable putting a healthy Libs team (including Boyd at 90%+) in the top 4. That’s not a prediction just a general statement given how far away we are from a full roster.
I think Nurse’s addition makes a full Libs roster a better defensive team than last year by quite a bit, especially if Zahui is also functional. And they were already a good defensive team last year in spite of several obstacles that presented themselves throughout the season.

I suspect 5th or 6th is more likely, but agree that lottery is highly unlikely. Nurse does look really good. Better than I expected, though not by a whole lot - ie, I thought she'd do well but take more time to adjust. And at least having Stokes as a backstop will make the defense much better. You don't want Tina to have to play the 5 ever if possible. And we know Tina doesn't want to have to play the 5 ever either.
I've never been that sold on either Hartley or Boyd but hopefully between them they can hold down that position adequately.

NYL Need another Star on this roster if they really want to compete for a championship. Ive never thought Tina alone could ever win a WNBA title by herself. She needs a dominant Guard to play with. Ala Sylvia Fowles/ Maya Moore

Yes, mainly the googly eyes.
But, no, not from the neck down. |
