I had Griner for a while now, but with her injury, and expected to be out for around a month, it's out of the question now for her. It's Fowles now.
I think that if Alyssa Thomas was an 85% or better free throw shooter, she'd be in the conversation. She wouldn't win, but she'd be up there in MVP talks.

I think Griner being out 3-4 weeks will take her out of the running. That's possibly 8-9 games she's missing.

I still find it rather remarkable and interesting that it's the second year in a row that someone nobody predicted in preseason would win the MVP (if Fowles stays at #1). Nobody picked Nneka last year (if it was gonna be a Spark, it was gonna be Parker), and no one picked Fowles this season (Maya was the obvious Lynx). You'd at least think that the winner would've made the general shortlist before the season started. |

If she had not gotten tangled up with Fowels she would not be out. Last time she was injured it was also by Fowels.

Maybe she should stop trying to be so rough with Fowles then. Or maybe it's just karma biting Griner in the ass. How many times did Griner injure players in the past? Purposely I might add? Like when she punched that other player in the face during a college game. Etc etc.

Are we really doing this? Very distasteful.

Yes, it was VERY distasteful when she did that.
