I thought he was re-signed just last year. He was a candidate for Miller's job, so it's not like he was looking for more free time. Maybe some family matters occurred recently that he feels he needs more free time. |
Seems like there is already a lot of free time involved with being a WNBA assistant coach.

They better not trade Howard. She has so much potential and she's young.

Pierson's on her last knees. This might point to McCarville not returning, unless she plays for peanuts.

Why trade Howard? We don't need to re-sign McCarville now.
Brunson/Howard
Fowles/Pierson
Granted we don't have a sizeable back up center.

Forget peanuts. She'd have to play for nothing, or actually PAY the Lynx to play.

I agree, but minnesota needs a future a pg.Whalen is on the back end of her career.Montgomery and Cruz were very shaky with the basketball during the finals.
Decisions,decisions,decisions.......
Maybe minnesota can give Prahalis a shot.

If they trade howard who would backup Brunson? A rookie? We all know how much Reeve trusts her rookies.

Pierson of course.Plenette didn't sign with the lynx to play 10-15 per game. She'll be a 18-22 minute player off the bench. This leaves very little to no time for Howard.
Fowles-30 minutes
Bruson-25 minutes
Pierson-18 minutes
That's 73 minutes out of 80 minutes.
And lets be honest.coach Reeve didn't have much trust in Howard during the wnba finals.Maybe minnesota can get chicago to throw in Breland or Parker as part of the trade.

If someone was chasing a championship, they'd sign with the Sparks or the Mystics.

They could cut corners in other areas, like Hampton or Cruz.
I'd consider trading Howard for Zahui, and Cruz for Banham, and I think that might all fit under the cap. Otherwise, I'm not up for a crazy Howard trade idea.

At #12, you can give Epps or Peterson or Romeo or Jankoska or Allen a shot.

No they wouldn't. They'd sign with Minnesota. It's extremely rare to win back to back championships. Plus, the Lynx win every 2nd year. This is going to be their year easily, if they stay healthy. And chasing a championship with the Mystics is a complete joke. Lol. Adding EDD isn't going to propel them into being a contender. A contender for the playoffs yes, but not for a championship. Not even if they do in fact steal away Kristi Toliver.

It makes me smile that your still trying to get the Sun to trade Cruz for Banham. Lol. It's not going to happen. Banham will be yours in a few short years when she asks/demands a trade to Minnesota and out of the woods of Connecticut. You just need to be patient.

Maybe.However.I don't see Reeve playing a rookie pg in the playoffs.

no way McCarville is returning with the signing of Pierson. Even with 11 players, there's no room for McCarville. Their starters are all max players. Then they have Perkins & Pierson. Montgomery & Howard stay. Cruz is always questionable.

So did Pierson sign for the vets minimum? Or is this a sign that they are moving on from McCarville for sure

I'd prefer the championship chaser didn't already have two.
