Oh lord, now I’m imagining EWill showing up to Camp her first day and Thibault taking one look at her & saying, “Nah, y’know what? We’re actually not gonna do this with you. Keep the money; we’re just gonna let you go. I’m just now realizing this was all a mistake.” No divorce proceedings necessary – just a full-on annulment. 🥴

sad but not unexpected. hope they are able to take care of her in some way. I think since the injury happened there that they are legally obligated to at least take care of the medical costs.

The Washington Mystics have released G Christyn Williams to create a roster spot. per Coach Christyn will be around to rehab.

There seems to be quite a fuss over a so call bench player, I'm getting to believe Mike Thibault might have Cloud, Atkins and Machida on the court a lot at the same time this WNBA season.

No, not at all! Christyn would have helped this team, Elizabeth Williams WILL help this team. Having both of them would have been great. When it comes to the WNBA and Mystics, I am only about what each player can bring to the team. I want another WNBA Championship!
Also adding that, no matter Christyn's offensive struggles, she always brought the D and it's impressive how well her offense started clicking in the Final Four. While she's not the 3 pt sniper/combo guard I was hoping for at this pick, I adjusted to looking at her positives, which are many.

Great pre-season debut of EDD, beating the Lynx 78-66. EDD with 21 pts in 17 minutes. Shakira did well, with 8 pts/13 rebs. Clearly this team needs EWill to arrive as Myisha Hines-Allen cannot battle the likes of Fowles, then produce anything on offense. Tasha with 18 pts, 4 assists (0 turnovers) and Ariel Atkins with 10 pts.
Rui Machida's first time on the floor in a Mystics uni: 2 pts, 2 assists (3 turnovers) in 18 minutes. Hopefully those numbers will improve as she gets accustomed to Mystics plays, players and just being in the US and the English speaking world.
SWK with 7 pts and Benzan with 5 on perfect (2-2,1-1) shooting.
Still no THawk or Clark on the floor.

Looks like the Plus/Minus Stat Analysis was missed on Rui Machida who had a Plus 12.
Plus/Minus (PM): The PM stat is "Plus/Minus", and reflects how the team did while that player is on the court. If a player has a +12 PM, it means her team outscored the opponent by 12 points while she was on the court

| Their guard backups look really weak. They should bring back Wiese. She's better than most of them except SWK and SWK is way too small to play SF.

It appears to me the Mystics will be using Delle Donne and Cloud at small forward quite often until Clark is effectively able to play extensive time.
Sydney Wiese shot 29 % from 3 Point Range in 2021 for the Mystics. I could be wrong but I don't believe Thibault will pick up Sydney Wiese.
