And it's official

That's a great question, because she never seems like it. However, if I were Liz, I wouldn't be happy in LA either. She is way too good to be utilized like she was. Liz should be the focal point of the offense. She is a 20 & 10 player in the W.

Huh. Well, my interest in the remainder of the 2022 WNBA season just cratered... But, at least I don't have to pretend to give a damn about the Sparks anymore, so there's that.

I think there is a reason she isn't the focal point of any team's offense and it's because of her lack of interest. You can't rely on Liz to give 100% on any given night. How do you build an offense around one of the most unreliable players in the league's history?

I wonder what she'll do next. I love having her in the league but, as others have said, it's obvious she doesn't love basketball. And that's okay. Whatever she chooses to do, I hope she is happy.

LA only played 7 players(including Liz's 22 minutes) vs the Aces on Saturday night and the late 3rd quarter and all 4th quarter it showed.

Not sure when the players, who missed the game, are due back. Not good to rush back players who arent ready, nor is it good to over work healthy players.

Sparks need healthy bodies for Thursdays game vs Phoenix, and the rest of the season.

Sadly, that should be the last we see of LC in the WNBA. Who is going to rely on her in the future?

Last night I found a YouTube video by some guy. I couldn't tell where he was coming from with the whole of his limited content, so I chose not to post it, It was the only other item addressing this at the time.

The gist (will be interesting if any of it turns out to be true):

During the fourth quarter of the most recent game, Carter got taken out of the game after multiple turnovers and a foul, and she started blaming everyone else (something she has apparently done for years) but seemed to be particularly targeting Liz. His perception was that Liz got fed up since this dynamic was not new. She also was expecting Fred to position her in LA as he had in Dallas, where she had the most success and was disappointed when that didn't happen. So Liz decided she wanted out. They guy seems to be a Chennedy stan but recognizes her shortcomings.

Cryptic summary after sleeping on it.

A shame, whatever the reason, if it's even true. He said the story would come out today. I see a few more links addressing this now, but none from standard sources.

This (Chennedy vs Liz) combat was so easily predicted. It appears it did not come to physical blows, though that could be predicted as well. For all her faults, Chennedy loves the game and wants to win, something that Liz clearly has no interest in since Liz does nothing to improve her stamina or basketball skills. Liz can now pursue her only interest: making $$ for Liz. In fact, I have no doubt she will turn this into making even more $$ for herself, like she did after trashing the Nigerian players and leaving her national team.

So now she's burned bridges with her national team and the WNBA. I suppose some overseas team will take the opportunity to sign this out of shape player who has shown no interest in improving her basketball skills.

I wish Liz well in pursuing her goals, which clearly do not include becoming a great basketball player. Godspeed.

She's like the Nick Kyrgios of basketball. You can have all the talent and physical gifts in the world, but to beat the best you have to care, day in and day out. And that's hard work.

I think I found the video you're referring to. I think he makes a lot of interesting points about expansion, superteams, and team chemistry issues.

I don't mind sharing the link.

I wonder if Chicago could afford her if she signed for prorated minimum. Parker and Azura Stevens are both friends. Parker is the clear leader of that team, so she could make it work.

Note that she complained ceaselessly during that season and demanded a trade immediately following it

It was actually the video he posted before this one. Will have to check this one out.

Still a shame.

I know I don't want her in Chi-Town. We have great chemistry that I don't want messed up especially at this point in the season.

I mean, she's got to find the Venn diagram of teams willing to take a chance on her and teams she's willing to play for. That was pretty much LA.

Like, I'm sure Indiana would take her or even Atlanta, but would she actually suit up for either of them? I feel like she MIGHT consider Atlanta. Maybe.

Chicago is in first place and has one of the best front courts in the league. No way they touch Liz with a ten foot pole.

New York is very similar to LA in terms of nightlife, but I think the Liberty's plan is to save the money to sign Breanna Stewart next year.. Confused Idea

So, Seattle next year? Twisted Evil

I'd be shocked to see her in Atlanta.

The franchise focus seems to be on GOOD chemistry and low drama.

Also doubt she'd want to be in Atlanta.
