I still don't get why McCoughtry would come back to the Dream now, when the Dream aren't in any shape to contend. Perhaps if the front office were to abandon the rebuilding plans they originally spoke of and instead go absolutely hog-wild in free agency, but I'm skeptical then that they'd all be able to gel in time for a legitimate playoff push. Just seems like there'd be a little too much newness going on at the same time.

Maybe she likes TWright. And she might believe she can single handedly turn them into a contender. She's done it before.

I don't expect Angel to return to Atlanta but it's as likely a destination as any.

Fairly easy decision at her cost.

I wonder if Thibault will bring her back like he brought back SWK? Will she take vet min?

Doubt she'll get many offers for more. She was a big disappointment for Atlanta.

Yeah, it was an overpay in the first place but an understandable gamble that she could step up on a different roster. Bit surprised that they cut her now, rather than waiting to see if they actually needed the cap space, but she wasn't worth the 144k. So it's understandable regardless.

Dream taking a flyer on Megan Walker. Worth a look with all that roster space to fill.

I like her better than Hawkins but couldn’t they have gotten her cheaper?

Nia!, my Love, my Life, my All!!! What is a guy to do without having some quality Coffey everyday? Sad

I knew the Sparks would have problems trying to hold onto her with the attraction she was bound to generate after her breakout season. However, she is such a versatile and quality player I would have rather they jettisoned less deserving players in favor of retaining her. She is a legitimate threat from downtown if she is left wide open. I just wish she had a quicker release. Her relatively slow release allows quicker defenders time to challenge and interfere with her death strokes. She has lightning quick hands for steals, and she thunderously! rejects shot attempts with an extreme attitude that can galvanize an entire team AND viewing audience! And she does all of this while usually looking like a mild-mannered female Clark Kent who can quickly metamorphoses into a defensive fury when the situation demands it.

At least we still have Brittney Sykes as our primary defender.

Gabby Williams replaces Coffey. You should be happy about that.

In fact, I wish Reeve would have acquired GWill instead of either Powers or McBride. She can play PG. She can rebound the ball on one end and take it the length of the court like Alyssa Thomas.

What's the deal with Carter ? Is she officially coming back now that C Will is gone ? She seemed to not be happy with the FO for Atlanta and after being suspended for more than half the season it's still quiet as a mouse right now about her status ?

EWill made it sound like she had the choice to stay in ATL but went to WAS because it’s closer to home.

I appreciate your optimism, but I’m not sold on the idea that the Dream got enough in return for Carter. Wheeler has played well, but she’s also going to be 31 when the season starts…while not old per say, definitely not a lot of peak playing years left. The Dream seems to be banking on the lottery balls bouncing their way and LA having a down year as well, which isn’t guaranteed if Cambage signs with them. In my eyes this seems like a pretty big gamble.

Atlanta will be garbage for many years to come

Better hope they land a top 2 pick in one of the upcoming drafts

Such a wild fall since being the having the #2 record in 2018 and dang near making the finals.

Poor management/leadership in the FO and on the court.

Crazy I ask less than 72 hrs ago and now she’s a spark Laughing Laughing
LA needs to get rid of fish trading for Wheeler will benefit in the short run but the chemistry issues if you get Carter to but In along with cambage will be interesting . Tbh if any player can do it I’d bet on Nneka as WNBAPA pres I feel she has to deal with more than what she receives in pay smh .

Yep, ATL/IND FO and coaching staffs have been given free rein to sabotage their franchises. Atlanta is a mess and Indiana is a joke. At least Dallas has multiple players who could end up being elite at their position (AO, SS) and multiple quality role players (Harrison, Mabrey, Gray)...And most of them are reletively young........Atlanta traded their young future star away.....idiots
