Does anyone know how the game will be shown? I can't figure it out on the NBC site.

I believe it will be on the NBC primetime coverage starting at 10:30pm Eastern Time.

Personally I have been watching at nbcolympics.com/basketball, then clicking on the game I want to watch and signing in with my cable provider (it remembers me so I only had to sign in the first time).

Thank you. We don't have a cable, so we haven't been able to watch much of anything. I will definitely tune in tonight though.

Getting excited.
We'll see if the Bourbon Backcourt has yet one more vintage performance.

Staley likes playing Stewart and Wilson as a "small" bigs combo. While I doubt she sticks in Collier at the 4, they might try it with Fowles ; or even Gray at the 4 (with Wilson) if Japan's pressure gets a bit much.

Let's go killer instinct.

Will say that Dawn has gotten/looked much better the last 2-3 games. Most likely due to the team getting more together with each other. She still makes some questionable subbing decisions, but we'll see how she does today with it.

Griner looks good to start.

14-5 midway through the first. Japan takes a timeout.

USA came to play today. Japan seems like the kind of team that might surprise you in the first meeting and punch above their weight a little. But at this point, do they have any surprises left or gas in the tank? It's not looking like it, so far.

I don't mean any disrespect, but fundamentally, Japan doesn't look like they even belong in this game.

As I type this #15 hits a nice three.

Maybe they are nervous.

It looks like a total mismatch. The Japanese team is quick but the American size advantage should nullify that

It will if we take advantage of it. Having our guards brick outside shots won't help.

We haven't allowed Japan to get many 3's off. That's been the key. If Japan gets consistent open 3's, we could be in trouble. That's where I agree with Kara. Seeing Japan in Pool Play helps us now because we don't get the shock of how they play as much.

The fact that Sylvia Fowles has looked like Alaina Coates in Tokyo is mystifying to me. The Power of Dawn, baby! Laughing

Having the Japanese guards scoring driving layups against Griner won't help either... Confused

yeah, pretty much the BS specialist.

anyway the game looks like it should be a blowout. Just give BG the ball in the paint repeatedly. Not much else is needed. The olympics will get more competitive if some of the other countries can develop some true bigs.

Charles and Loyd are playing too much. Let’s get a look at Diggins, Atkins, Fowles, and Collier.

you expect Dawn to change her stripes at this late date?
I do hope we get a new coach before the next Olympics.
