I've always been harsh on her because of the ugliness of her shot, but her defense grew on me over time. Kind of a case of making the best of what she had.

Anyway, wish her well.

Wonder how she would’ve looked had she made the Storm roster. Guess we’ll never know now, but like she said, at least she gets to ride off into the sunset healthy. Enjoy retirement!

I liked the way she revealed her multi-team uniform (Dream, Sky, and Aces).

Here is the full retirement announcement video...

At the 1:12 mark of that YouTube video, the part where Ty said about her 2008 rookie year with the Atlanta Dream: "There was a veteran player who was not fond of the [playing] time that I was getting. And my coach, one day before practice, told me: 'You're a rookie, and you may not understand, but I'm going to have to cut some of your minutes, and you're going to have to come off the bench."

Was Erika DeSouza, Betty Lennox, Nikki Teasley, or Izi Castro Marques that "veteran player" Ty was referring to?

I would think that would be easily determined by looking at starting lineups from the 2008 Dream. But I could be wrong.

If you look at the box scores, Latta and Lennox were already starting when Young got benched. Castro Marques was the one who was moved into the lineup when Young was moved out. So it was probably Izi.
