There’s a strong argument that we will lose every game heading into the Olympic break if both she and Howard are out till then.

So now we are down a #1 overall pick, a #2 overall pick and a player who was acquired with a #1 overall pick and another first round pick. Plus Willoughby who was supposed to be the best player in camp. Pretty sure any team missing the value of five first round picks, including two #1s and a #2 overall wouldn’t be doing much winning. But what other team has that right now? The only comparable was Chicago and guess what? They didn’t do any winning without their people either.

I know teams are missing people everywhere, but it often seems like the Liberty lose players of greater magnitude and have players suffer injuries that have longer term effects. It happens a lot and it often happens exactly when positives are happening with either a team or player’s development.

Lobo, Carson, Boyd, Piph. Hammon too but she recovered fully. None of the others did.

Boyd went from averaging like a free throw every 3 minutes to sometimes not getting one in 3 games. I’m not even going to elaborate on the other 3 but I’m very frustrated.

It seems possible/likely this injury is an after effect of last year’s. Which makes you wonder why she was playing on it to begin with. Hopkins admitted she wasn’t physically right two games ago.

If I had to guess, I'd guess that like every Olympic year, DT will remarkably recover in time to compete and be in tip top shape and shooting sharpness for the games. Kind of like the Griner Draft year injuries. She has a free pass to the games but IMO players should be limited to 2 Olympics to give the other players an opportunity to play for the USA.

YMMV and I respect it.

And the coach can't pick TWO undeserving players from their program to get gold medals!

Is the feed looking like a particularly bad League Pass broadcast to anyone else who isn't watching on League Pass?

The video looks like a rebroadcast of 30 frame per second video. It’s awful.

You gotta give the Liberty one thing. No matter how overmatched they may appear to be on paper, they have a ton of heart.

The refs are so trash. Kia needs to drive and Walker needs to drive. They aren't hitting anything.

Were all 3 of Griner’s fouls offensive fouls?

Well, it seemed like Phoenix were gonna do better without Diana. Another .500 season and one playoff win season I suppose. And that appears to be Best Case. Remember when they could've wom on 2017?

Walt: do NOT let Jaz Jones get on the court in the second half.

Field goal shooting in the first half: Jones 1-7, Onyenwere 0-6, other Liberty players 17-28.

What a half from Laney!!!

Maybe they need to have a Player's only meeting. And the coaches need to have 1 too.

Kia and Walker 1-11 and Kia took 8 of those 11 and hasn't made 1.

I hope we don’t start the second half with the same 5.

Sandy needs to come up with a different defense to protect BG. She and Skylar are the offense and make things happen.

It's likely.

This roster is not exactly brimming with great options
