From Alexa Philippou's twitter:

Briann January remains OUT with an ankle sprain for the Sun’s Sunday matchup vs. the Aces

It all points to a relatively big win for the Aces, imo, with CT coming off their easy win vs Merc, being on the road, undefeated and w/o January.

If the Sun can get any of the Aces’ main players in foul trouble, they’ll be in good shape – not just because of the Aces’ thin bench, but also cuz Cambage has not gotten herself into shape. Razz

Did Cambage have an injury during the off season that kept her from getting into shape?

No she has trained the last 3 months in LA with a trainer and a group of guys. Doing a lot of 1v1, 3v3 but she hasnt played a actual game since the wnbl season ended. So being in game shape is alot different then being in good shape.

If 15.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.00 blocks and 63.3 percent from the field is out of shape, we should all be so out of shape.

Very Happy

All I'm saying is, y'all might be 3-0 instead of 2-1 had she been able to play more than 19:19 in that first game. Wink

I thought Liz looked to be in pretty good shape, maybe the best we've seen. If you mean that you expect her to play over 30 minutes a game, I don't think that is ever a reasonable expectation.

She's never averaged over 30 in her W career. I think most of us would expect somewhere in the 25-28 though.

Cambage can't keep Brionna Jones off the boards. Might wanna box out.

And again, she didn't even play 20 minutes in the first game where her team needed her, and she had been hitting her shots...

First game in a long time that I muted before tip-off. My god this crew is absolutely excruciating.

"Jackie Young outside shooter"

Shocked

That's why Bonner is guarding her from 10' away.

Also, it's Natisha Hiedeman, not Natasha. And it's Kaila Charles, not Kalia.

Embarrassing. Disrespectful.

I thought this would be a quality game. Boy, was I wrong!

And who is this Carrington? She looks nothing like the player we saw in the final 4. Can't even hang onto the ball.

Much better 2nd quarter for the Aces. CT slowed down - needed to go to Brionna Jones more down low. Their outside shot wasn't falling.
