Has anyone been seeing the tweets from players still in Israel who apparently aren’t being allowed to leave to go home? I’ve seen Alexis Peterson and Jaime Nared thus far. I Know the season just started so our focus is there but let’s send some good vibes and hope spread the word on social media because it’s obviously continuing to escalate over there.

Jaime Nared was in France until their playoff quarter-finals last week, so that would be weird, but absolutely hope everyone manages to make it out safely.

My interpretation is that Nared knows some men who play in one of the top two divisions there as their seasons have not been cancelled yet. Nancy Lieberman's son is one of the players there. Here is a statement released by some of the foreign players:
https://www.eurohoops.net/en/others/1205796/foreign-players-asking-for-the-israeli-league-season-to-be-canceled/

The women's league canceled Game 5 so the players can leave as soon as they can find a way logistically. Peterson's American teammates are Danielle Adams, Khadijiah Cave, and Leah Purvis. The team they were going to play for the championship has Alex Harden, Khaalia Hillsman, Shaqwedia Wallace, and Madison Shea. Stu Douglass's season just ended so his wife Courtney Boylan, who plays on a women's league team that had their season end a while ago, may also be there still.

They ended up playing the last women's game on Friday and the players should all be able to leave safely.
