The starter at SF for the Storm will either be Talbot or Samuelson. I think Burke isn't under consideration here because Hughes still wants to see Burke get more of her minutes with Canada off the bench.

KLS is starting at the SF spot

At his pregame availability, Dan Hughes said the Storm will start Katie Lou Samuelson at small forward in today's season opener. He highlighted her game rhythm and how she matches up with Las Vegas.

Dupree guarding Wilson when Cambage is on the bench, is asking for trouble Shocked

I’ll never understand why the Merc passed on Ezi twice.

Edited for you Laughing Laughing Laughing

Exciting first quarter, as long as you don't prefer defense. Hopefully the quality stays high and the game stays close; this is a great advertisement for the W thus far.

Why did Cambage's teammates stop looking for her, when Seattle had no answer? Do they not understand the concept of a re-post?

Ezi looks great on both ends. If she can it that 3 at a pretty consistent rate then its going to be a big year for her.

Talbot fits nicely and Loyd defense on Gray has been fantastic. Really shut her down

I've also felt very positively about these three so far, and Loyd has been a great amount of aggressive offensively.

Sue still got it!! I love that we can hear her on the floor, too (is she mic'd?).

KLS and Dupree, on the other hand Mad KLS has a bit of an excuse, at least.

Build a lead with them on the bench, bring them back in and lose it asap Rolling Eyes

They cannot be on the floor together. Dupree looks done. Should be our 4th post.

Ezi is doing a great job on Cambage. She should start the 2nd half on her with Dupree starting on the bench

Before pilight comes to refute the statistic, it has been absolutely representative for this game. Particularly because they have almost entirely replaced KLS and Dupree, respectively.

Lack of outside shooting wouldn't be hurting Vegas, if they would actually play to their strength, but they're not.

Gray has been invisible. Plum looks really tiny/slender. We need to find more minutes for Stewie and Loyd to rest.

Plum clearly more comfortable on the ball rather than as off guard. They'll have to work on that.

I think that a very good point was made about how Gray is a pick-and-roll point guard, and Vegas is not a pick-and-roll team; she's going to have to figure out how to adjust. Alternatively, Laimbeer is going to have to involve Gray and Cambage in more pick-and-roll.

EDIT - God damned sausage fingers...
