Let's see if we have a better grasp of how to play against people who are taller than we are. I don't think Friday's hot perimeter shooting is a long-term solution.

you could get a clip of the Atlanta guy's "every body clap your hands"...which drives me berserk somewhere around the third time he does it....to say nothing of the 50th time.

While I am not unopposed to playing mind games with the opposition in that manner, and arguably it would be more useful than whatever Kylee Shook was doing the other night, I do not think this is the post you were attempting to reply to.

Pretty sure Stokes not avail yet. Allen is back. Holmes was let go. Hopefully the Libs can keep the offensive rebounds for Indiana closer to 10 than 20. Not only did they shoot around 50 from 3, but Indy had to be about 30% or less from the field on first shot opportunities.

That’s a hard disparity to maintain, so the rebounding disparity has to be less today. I love how the Libs look offensively though. Onyenwere adds quite an offensive element at the 4 spot that could really dictate certain matchups in favor of NY once they get some players back.

The Libs are probably going to have to sacrifice transition offense to crash the defensive boards 4 and 5 deep. Those easy put backs from weak side rebounds can’t be a regular thing.

Laney certainly looks like an All-Star. The Liberty look like they could be the second best team in the East behind only the Sky

So Betnijah Laney MIp last year seems to be no fluke with her and Howard added NY may be more competitive albeit they have just faced Indiana this season .

Seems formidable but I would wait until they face anyone else besides Indiana before I make that conclusion tbh.

so he brought in J.Jones as backup PG instead of Clarendon...

wondering who they will waive when Stokes and Howard arrive.

Clarendon slows them down IMO . She dribbles more than Lindsay Harding , I would have kept Paris Kea instead. Younger and cheaper .....

This is my biggest curiosity as well. It has to be Gray + 1, but who is the odd person out? Clarendon only played 2.5 minutes in the first game. What's up with Odom? She's the only (healthy?) player yet to make the floor.

The thing with being perimeter-heavy is that it’s very easy to have peaks and valleys. Those back door cuts and rolls to the hoop are being taken away by Indy now. Need to find passing lanes for open shooters.

Last night demonstrated the Libs make good halftime adjustments (front and three quarter the post). Sab passed up a few open 15-17 footers in lieu of difficult passes. I’d expect her to take a few more of those in the second half if they continue to be available.

Odom was in the injury report with an Achilles injury last week.

Oh, shit, she and Willoughby both? That is brutal.

Edit: I guess Odom's isn't a tear and she's day-to-day.

LOL. Yea, great plan: to keep out-for-the-season Paris Kea instead of Layshia Clarendon.

Is Betnijah Laney trying to bring back short shorts?

I loved watching DiDi in college but didn't think it could translate. Starting to think maybe it can. And she's still fun.
