Don’t be afraid to @ me. I know you are every so often, though I’m not really sure why. 😇

As well as Laksa shot from the field, so did Haley Gorecki, and so did N’dea Jones. Less attempts, but still good production from all of them. Kiana Williams didn’t shoot well, but she put up a good ATO. And wouldn’t you say most of Phoenix’s bench for sure isn’t going to be there at the start of the season anyway? Let’s see Laksa bring that kind of scoring on Monday in the informal rematch (where the Merc will be hungry to win, I imagine), let alone against actual WNBA players in the regular season.

Also, we don’t know how anyone did defensively, since no one could watch the game. Judging by those quotes I pulled up & put up on the Storm thread, I think Hughes is looking for more defense than offense out of the fringe players.

I don't think we talk enough about how Collier went #1 and Mack fell to #16. No matter who one thinks is better in the once hotly-contested Collier vs. Mack debate, Collier is simply not 15 Draft spots better than Mack in actuality.

I really hope Mack sticks on some team, even if it's not Chicago. If only she had the same or even a similar level of opportunity as Collier is getting; it would be super fascinating to compare both their seasons this year & in future years in the League as time goes by.

We'll likely know based on the minutes distribution in Chicago's game vs. Indiana how good Mack's chances are at making the Sky's roster. I don't think she'll take 13 shots like Collier did today in her game, but even if she does, I can't see her missing 10 of them. Confused

Thibault gives the most informative interviews. I suppose it helps to have media that asks useful questions.

88-71 SEA final

SEA really spread the minutes over 15 players including Stewart according to the box score.

The most minutes for SEA went to Magbegor who scored 17 pts, 7 reb, 3 stl, 3 blk in 19:16.

Who was that who kept hating on Laksa? She scored 13 pts in 13 min. Also kicked in an ast and stl.

Box score showed Stewart supposedly playing 2:08.

PHX similarly spread their minutes over 14 players. Makes me wonder if each coach agreed to keep player minutes under 20. 🤔

Nurse had the most minutes at 19:51. She also had the high score 12 pts, 1 reb, 3 ast

Griner 11 pts, 4 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl, 2 blk in 14:30

Laksa is a good player-but the only time anyone noticed her, was when she played against UCONN-and she never really had a good game against us. She is a great shooter, her release is quick, and she moves well without the ball

Inactive players for this game, per the boxscore:

Sky: #4 Shyla Heal, #14 Allie Quigley, #22 Courtney Vandersloot

Fever: #13 Lauren Cox, #4 Kysre Gondrezick, #44 Bernadett Hatar, #1 Aaliyah Wilson

Hopefully Cox, Gondrezick, and Wilson are only inactive cuz they're all recovering from getting their vaccines.

Love to see Chelsea Perry's line. She's a keeper.

When did Brittany Boyd get hyphenated? (or did she? .com still only has her playerfile without the -Jones)

Nice to see Parker playing [in the boxscore]...but I keep having to remember it's the 'other' Parker from the one we're used to seeing in Chicago.

Have to be concerned about Mack's future. The Sky have gone with only 2 bigs all game. Dolson and Parker to start, N'dour and Hebard off the bench. Stevens will probably make the team which could put Mack on the waiver wire.

Corrected - I was thinking about Kayla Thornton (Dal), not Kobi Thornton.
