A fascinating low-post battle, for all the wrong reasons: an irresistible force, with no wind, versus an immovable object, with no heart.

I immediately connected the force with no wind with Cambage. Embarassed Laughing

Diana Taurasi To Miss Time Due To Injury
Phoenix Mercury PR
May 25, 2021

PHOENIX – Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi is expected to miss at least four weeks after suffering a chest injury in the Mercury’s game on May 16 at Connecticut, the team announced today. Taurasi played the subsequent two games (May 18 at Washington, May 21 vs. Connecticut) but a CT Scan this week revealed a small fracture to her sternum.

Through the Mercury’s first four games of the season, Taurasi was averaging 15.8 points, 3.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds, and remains six points shy of becoming the only player in WNBA history to 9,000 career points.

Wilson with the FloJo look.

Megan Walker is listed 6'1". I'm skeptical. Want to see her stand next to listed 5'9" Skylar Diggins-Smith.

I'll say this for Phoenix: I think that Griner is inferior to Cambage, offensively, but Sandy Brondello is much better than Bill Laimbeer at drawing up plays to get her 6'8"+ center involved in the offense.

We're going to see a Taurasi tech from the bench if the officiating continues to be this one sided.

These fouls calls or lack thereof are garbage. So only Vegas is getting fouled?

It's ridiculous and blatant at this point.

The one saving grace of Diana being out is that it forces Sandy to give Walker starter minutes. I want to see her grow.

Jackie Young isn't nearly a good enough shooter to be as "Fuck it, Imma get mine" as she is.
