by my count 18 rookies made opening day roster including five second round picks one 3rd round pick and one un-drafted player

there are also at least four rookies who will miss the season due to injury/surgery or deferral

the highest drafted player to not make a roster was pick #8 pick #5 is missing the season because of surgery all other first round picks made their original rosters

Are you counting Machida, Yueru, or the two 30+ rookies?

If we leave those four out I count 19 rookies including two third rounders (Atwell & Dickey) and two undrafted (Benzan & Thomas)

Those are just rookies from this year's draft class. Kristy Wallace, Rebekah Gardner, Li Yueru, Yvonne Anderson & Jasmine Walker are also rookies. I believe the .com currently has 26 rookies listed.

Jasmine Walker is not a rookie. She played two games last season.

Will Gardner and Li Yueru actually play this season?🤔

yeah I was just counting the players from this draft but also missed that Dodson was out so she was the 3rd rounder I was counting while also completely missing Dickey and Atwell as in, opps and left Benzan out as I thought she was going to get swapped for someone on the waiver wire today so opps again

still 19 is much more than the amount some including myself were predicting from this years draft class my guess was 12/13

When everyone's careers are done, I wonder how many players in this draft class will have made more money than Kianna Smith.

It's been more prominent in Korea media this week that she intends to play there since her mother is Korean.

The per team cap in total is about $1.3 million after taxes. Kim Roberson is turning 36 this season and is earning the maximum individual base salary of around $230,000 after tax with the top total compensation package of any player being 50% larger than that.
