(Sorry, I can't figure out how to embed an image! Would someone be willing to describe how?)

This was fascinating. BYU coming in a #4 surprised me greatly.

Some instagrams clearly have fake/bought followers, you can tell
By the lack of “likes” in every post. *cough UCLA cough* There are pages that get the same anount of likes with 3/4 times less followers.

Thank you, Glenn!

Wow--I am unaware of the world of fake/bought followers.

Considering Stanford's proximity to Silicon Valley, I would've expected them to be ranked much higher than #12. Rolling Eyes

Either that, or perhaps some of the people who work in Silicon Valley are not into the women's game.

Like you, BYU at #4 was the one that caught my eye.

College sports are not a big deal in the Bay Area. Stanford and Cal football haven't had a sold-out game in years, and Stanford especially is noted for low football attendance, even when they were good.

This is true of almost all areas that have major professional sports.

Yup, which is why a school like Iowa is high on this list. No major professional sports in the state.

Plus a long, rich history of wbb in the state.
