It wasn’t. Not given what was being called..

You aint objective you have uconn glasses on.

Baylor has been doing that on every UConn drive with no call. Baylor got the better of the officials the entire game.

In this game, you gotta get clobbered to go to the line ONO touched her.

Lol uconn got every call in the fourth.

How did Baylor get the best of the calls when UCONN made the bonus first in the 3rd and. 4th Qtr and by 3 fouls each QTR? Just wondering?

Well this is a BS way for UCONN to pull one out.

Not so much. The cause was Richard's hamstring injury, which led to Baylor playing too fast and Carrington pressing too much, and Mulkey not taking a TO, which led to that 19-0 run. Huge slippery slope of disaster.

Speaking as a BU fan, no doubt that was a foul but the game was being called with a lot of contact and when I saw it in real time, I didn’t think it was

This isn’t on the officials. It’s on Baylor’s poor decision making.

People get upset about Debbi calling ACC games but Lobo doing UConn is worse. Also Ruocco's voice 'grates my ears' (to quote some other people on this board) more than any other commentator.

On another note, I swear UConn is 40 points better with Edwards on the floor.

Also, Baylor is an outstanding team. Dish’s comeback is a great story too, and I hope that was just cramps. And Carryington..was Baby Catch. That being said, their inability to shoot was gonna get them at some point, although I don’t think that was the issue this game.

well, I think the winner of the second game would prefer to have seen Baylor advance...especially if Didi would be out.

For all the talk about Richards poor ball handling, UConn was unable to turn Baylor over until she went out.

Well baylor probably wins it all if Mulkey recruited a better pg, there were tons in the portal that would have helped.

Amazing pace, amazing chase, amazing grace.

There should be no doubt who the NPOY is this year based on all-around stats, AND big game performances, AND consistent and unflappable poise, AND personally carrying a team to the heights of the rankings and tournaments.

She's pretty good at making shots once the player guarding her gets injured Laughing

She had 20 before Richards went out. It was a hard 20 and she couldn't make the passes she usually makes, but she hit some tough shots with Richards on her.

Oh, I wholeheartedly agree. Lobo should never be allowed to call UCONN games. Never. She’s incapable of being impartial. When Kara Lawson called games, and when Catchings does, neither of them has been a UT partisan. In fact, it almost seems like they bend over backwards to seem impartial.

And I don’t know where ESPN got this Ruoco guy, but he sure is annoying. Just the latest in a parade of male talking heads/screamers they feel they have to drag into the women’s tournament “to keep the men interested” or some dumb reason.

Well, dang-eroo. Best game of the tourney, if not the season. Reminds me of the good old days, when ND usta spank the Huskies routinely. Razz

REALLY pathetic that a no-call was allowed to decide the game. Evil or Very Mad

In the Useful Transfers Dept., Baylor has certainly gotten more of a bang for their buck in their Stanford transfer (Carrington) than UConn got from their Tennessee transfer (Westbrook). Stanford mighta been totally unbeatable if they still had Carrington. Shocked

It was a close game. Not a blowout like a Rebkell associate said it was going to be. Wink

Ya, Westbrook has definitely not developed as expected. Maybe she peaked early. She just doesn’t strike me as much of a team player.

Debbi Antonelli (who's currently calling the IU/AZ game) just came out hard against the reffing at the end of the Baylor/UConn game. Pam Ward set her up to discuss the "controversial" non-call on Carrington's final drive. Antonelli said:

"Was it controversial? No. Was it a foul? Yes. It's only a 'controversy' because the foul wasn't called."
