Just hoping Ki and Anna are both ok and able to play their best. And hopefully Lexi's nose wasn't broken too.

My Cinderella girls will not make it any further, but since I'm pulling for Stanford to win the whole thing, that's okay.

I do have to say something about the Lady Bears' Elle Ruffridge, though. Being of a petite stature myself, I've always had a fondness for what my spousal unit calls the "ankle-biters", the little short (usually PG) players who can shoot the lights out. I loved LSU's Temeka Johnson back in the day, and I love Ruffridge. From little Pocahonatas, Iowa, all of 5'3, she can throw long bombs with the best of them. I've watched some MSU games on delay, and she's just so much fun to watch. Stanford better keep an eye on her!

That Maryland roster was still so new back then. Also some uncharacteristically bad performances from Diamond Miller and Chloe Bibby. 7 fouls, 6 turnovers, and only 1 field goal between them. Think everyone is much more used to their roles now.

Well, Glenn, that’s a bit rude. Missouri State used to be SW Missouri State, best known for Jackie Stiles. The current edition is the program Kellie Harper built and Coach Mox is continuing, and there’s plenty of fight in them. They made the Sweet Sixteen the last time there was a tournament and if you’re actually listening to the game callers, they have some respect for them even if you don’t. They’re not going to win because they’re playing the overall #1 seed, but I don’t see any give up in them.

What Stanford is doing to Missouri State looks all too familiar.

No Belibi today? Guess TVD is trying to milk the most out of Stanford's height advantage. It's kind of sad to me how the media sensationalized her dunks so much and tried to make her the face of the team, but then TVD took her out of the starting line-up.

Russell Wilson is in the stands, yes, we know, we heard you the first four times. I don't need to see him clapping anymore (or really, ever again). Rolling Eyes

She was in earlier. She'll probably be back in later.

It won't happen, but Anna Wilson deserves to get drafted. That is all.

She does, and she might. Just not in the first couple of rounds. She’ll have to earn a spot.

Why won’t it happen? I can see her getting picked in the third round.

Come to think of it, I seem to remember speculation that Princeton's Leslie Robinson was drafted that one year cuz she was Michelle Obama's niece. Wilson could get drafted simply because of name recognition & the tv ratings of it all (if that means her brother gets to be interviewed on the broadcast) come Draft Night, even if that's the worst/weakest reason she should get drafted.

That and she had a relative who worked for the Liberty. She certainly wasn't drafted because they thought she was future star.

Makes me appreciate a little more that when OSU played Stanford at Gill, Beavs led by 8 (60-52) after 3. Then Stanford blitzed us 23-6 in 4Q.

In that game I think it was Stanford’s depth that ultimately killed us. And Taylor Jones fouling out early.

They sure are playing well today. Pulling for the Cardinal and Tara V.

#Stan(ley)fordSteamer. Very smooth operation today.

Regardless of outcome, it's always good to see a mid-major make a deep(er) run. If I'm not mistaken, Belmont was the only other one to win a game in the tourney.
