Müle has been a spark on defense. Her value isn't in her scoring but her shooting is generally much better right now than the stats quoted, which while true are hardly the "whole truth". Müle had a rough start being injured and not being able to practice. Then she tried to use Euro defensive tactics and drew a lot of fouls. Since her first 4 or 5 games she's been a huge part of UConn's defense and a reasonably good spot up 3 pt shooter. In addition both Edwards and ONO were highly susceptible to getting into foul trouble and playing them both together was a roll of the dice. They seem to have corrected that and it couldn't come at a better time with Baylor ahead.
Müle, if she plays, will harass Richards who is not the best ball handler and come up with a couple of steals. I'll be happy with her back in the rotation, whether she starts or comes off the bench.

WHEW Caitlin Clark has me crying listening to the postgame press conference (link below).
A child sports journalist named Pepper asks Caitlin, "What message do you have for the young girls who now know you and are inspired by you?" The answer made Caitlin choke up in tears:
Quote: |
"I feel like I was that little girl just a short while ago, so I would just say, 'Dream Big.' That's always what I did. My parents never held me back from anything [I thought I] could do, and that's just the biggest thing." |
These end of season feels are just too much sometimes, damn.

That is the nature of sports. " The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat".

For all the pre-game hype about Paige vs. Caitlyn, no one declared the winner. I do: Paige by a nose.
You all can read the box score and compare those lines.
For more advanced game stats:
- Usage Rate: Caitlyn 36.8%, Paige 26.5%. Usage Rate, again, is the percentage of the teams plays, when the player is in the game, in which she attempts a field goal, foul shot, or makes a TO.
- EFG%: Caitlyn 42.9% (4th on her team), Paige 44.4% (5th).
- ATO Ratio: Caitlyn 1.0, Paige 4.0. |

Yeah, I often don't watch them because I end up crying along with them. So much respect for these kids that can talk to the press after losing a heartbreaker.
