Both teams are a little out of rhythm. Michigan is having difficulty with Tennessee’s height on rebounds. Michigan is shooting better.

End of 1Q U-M 14-12

C'mon, Michigan. Give me a reason to give a damn about this tournament.

U-M 21-18 midway in 2Q, shooting just 38.1% - but UT’s 31.8%.

Hailey Brown hits her second three before the horn. Michigan heads to the locker room leading 28-19.

They're tryin'! It's Hailey Brown doing the most damage for Michigan today thus far, but Hillmon's holding her own against the Lady Vol bigs. This is a good matchup.

I'm really hoping for a big second half from Naz! Let's go Big Ten!!! SEC has taken a gut punch so far today Cool

That was the worst half of basketball I've seen Tennessee play this year, save for maybe that first game against Georgia where we gave up that 16 point lead in a total meltdown.

I have to think/hope Rennia Davis will come out on a mission in the 2nd half...Michigan has been very physical with her and the refs aren't calling much, so she's got to adjust.

When I watched the second half of UT’s first round game this morning, I was very concerned about their height. They are getting blocks, but Michigan is winning on hustle and patience.

Tenn can beat anybody...and lose to anybody. What a strange team. They have tremendous athleticism and talent but don't put it together all the time. If I were a Tenn fan, I would be pulling my hair out. I mean every team can have a bad game (see UConn at Arky or Stanford at Colorado) but Tenn is just so inconsistent.

Terrible over the back call on Hillmon. This was literally a second after Davis shoved her in the back. Inconsistent reffing in a very physical game IMO.

Yes. I think you could say something similar about Kentucky...

I’m just happy no one is in foul trouble this game.

Pulling my hair out, yes, for the last decade or so, but this year at least Kellie has us winning the games we should (no losses outside the NET top 25), so I wouldn't exactly say we could lose to "anybody" in the ways the program did in the last several years under Holly. And I'd say this was the first season in a while that the team really could beat anybody...which does make this game all the more frustrating. Truly the worst 40 minutes I've seen all season, and it's not really close.

Michigan on the brink of their first ever Sweet-16! They lead 60-48 with 51.7 seconds to go.

Pulling my hair out today, yes, but also recognizing that, as I've said elsewhere, that Kellie can't be expected to clean up the mess she stepped into in just two years. I think she's done a pretty damn good job so far, just looking at the improvements in the two bigs, Key and KK, and at the greater amount of teamwork shown overall, especially by Horston and Davis, who had a tendency to showboat under HW.

That said, congrats to Michigan and go blue! I have longstanding family ties there so I guess I can't be too unhappy...except for them beating my Lady Vols.
