Washington State came out hot with two quick 3s, but since has struggle to settle in and shake off that sloppiness that has defined some of their worse losses this season... Mununga from South Florida seems like too much for WSU's inside players.

Agree completely, but I don’t mind! I kinda feel like an ugly game would favor WSU.

Haha I'm here for this. Literally every WSU game I've watched this year has been ugly but I've loved every second somehow.

South Florida leads at the half, 38-29.

No disrespect intended to whoever WSU's post coach is, but their post players would benefit sooo much if they just had a few simple, reliable offensive moves. It would really open up things for their talented guards, too. Murekatete has potential I think.

Bella makes a few moves sometimes, but it's always an adventure when the ball goes inside. She also tends to bring the ball down low when she catches it which means it gets knocked away or tied up way too often. If they had a really decent post, this team could be so, so much better.

Tied at 45 going into the fourth! Might we get our first upset of the tournament???
Usually I root for the mid-major team in these situations, but WSU has just been so fun to watch all season!

CLW with the travel. It sure feels like WSU is trying their best to throw this game away, other than the shot-making of Johanna Teder.

Agreed. I haven’t particularly loved Ethridge’s approach (or lack thereof) this whole game imo.

she has done that repeatedly this year - called for her players to foul and they foul the wrong player. her end game just stinks...even though they did win some, mostly thru heroics of the Leger-Walkers.

They Coug’d it again. CLW with a rough performance, especially in the last minute, and so went her team. Oh well. There’s always next year for these Cougs (unless they suck next year because of how 1-dimensional they can be – something I can see happening to them).

Agreed. Her endgame coaching is pretty much just “give the ball to our best player & let them do their thing.” Simple, super hands-off, and sometimes it wins you big games. Didn’t work when you absolutely had to have it today, though – what, with the program looking for its first-ever Tournament win & all.

to be fair, I think Etheridge is a good cheer leader 'energy' type coach, just not great with x's and o's. But her players seem to really like her so that's important too.
