It's ironic that Northwestern's guards run such an effective 3/4 quart trapping defensive, but those same guards often struggle to break the opposing team's press. I'm rooting for NU big time in this one. Of all the teams who were shortchanged with the canceled tournament last year, my heart went the most out to them. They had the best season in recent history, defeating Maryland and becoming regular season co-champs of the conference. Then they graduated two very efficient forwards in Abbie Wolf and Abi Scheid, and now they're essentially a squad of guards.

Star UCF guard Diamond Battles injured her leg on an awkward landing after a rebound. Status unclear but it didn't look good. So sad ...
