That 5 second call was absolutely a make-up call for the nonsense travel just before

Troy has come on to actually take the lead and now trails 75-73 with 3:45 left.

Especially with that block/charge that went against Troy.

ESPN definitely told the refs to ensure A&M advances. Worst officiating so far this tourney obvious blocking call on Nixon called a charge then the BIGGEST BACKCOURT IN WCBB HISTORY goes uncalled and Troy loses wtf NCAA!!

Refs still protecting the higher seeds. They go to the scorer's table to review the clock 3 times in the last minute, but won't review the over-n-back?

I am in a night class until 9:30. My dad texted me and said "TROY GOT SCREWED!!" ESPN's website is not loading, so I have no clue what was going on. What happened?

"some tough calls" is the closest an announcer can get to "some bad calls"

A&M was already getting the best of the calls, but that is an awful ending. Question - Why isn't that reviewable? It seems that it is similar to an out of bounds call.

Troy was down by two with 2.5 seconds left. Texas A&M inbounds the ball to a guard who dribbles it from the front court into the back court, and a split second later she is fouled by a Troy player. The over and back CLEARLY happened first, but one ref called the foul instead and didn't even consult with the others to confirm/review the call.

Troy should have had the opportunity to inbound the ball and go for a buzzer beater. Which would have certainly been within the realm of possibility since there were still 2.5 seconds left on the clock.

Instead A&M gets two FTs and the game was essentially over at that point.

Wow that was some bad calling. You kinda felt that Gary Blair even felt a little guilty on a few of those. That was very unfortunate for Troy after such a hard fought comeback. I hope this is a sign of good things to come for them.

Troy also got screwed on an obvious blocking foul that Felicia Grinter and company turned into a charge

Renee did a great job staying professional while trying to contain the competitive player in her to come for that bad call.

That's what I was going to ask. Not about Renee, specifically, but if you could tell the announcers felt a type of way about the call. Or, if they acted like ESPN robots.

Thanks. I checked Twitter and saw that the NCAA posted something like "A&M pull through for a tough one," and they are getting roasted in the comments.

Beth and Renee both said it was a clear backcourt violation.
