36-23 MD at the second media break.

Watching this one at the moment, here. Michigan seems to have hit a slump at the worst possible time in the season. Hopes were high after a great start and good record going into the Covid pause, but since coming back they don't look quite as fluid offensively. Naz is great as always, but I think Leigha Brown needs more touches.

(edit) also: Owusu is just so good. Underrated. As a Big Ten fan in general, I hope Maryland has a strong showing in the NCAAs.

Win or lose, Michigan really needs to show the Selection Committee something in this one or their chances of getting a decent seed are going to be DOA.

So far they’re not helping their case.

I’ve found in general that KBA’s teams have faded the last couple of weeks of the regular season. I’d hoped that finally getting the chance to “show their stuff” against the best team in the league would boost this team up. So far they just look like the next level down....certainly not #12.

Agree with you. Speaking of seeding the Big Ten teams...what really pisses me off is Rutgers. They've played by far the easiest schedule of the entire Big Ten. Will be really interested to see how they play in the tournament. Except for Northwestern who has since dropped out of the Top-25, Rutgers hasn't played a ranked team since Maryland on December 14th.

These truncated schedules are clearly helping some teams with their W-L percentage, while hurting others. I think it’s unavoidable that the Conference seeds are going to be a little off this year.

Michigan’s best seed in NCAA history was #7. I think they’ll best that at least.

Other than Maryland, imo, the B10 isn't very good.

I don't know how likely it'll be, but I'd love to see Maryland put in the same bracket as UConn once Selection (Mon?)day rolls around.

Hard to gauge strength of the conference without much play out of conference this year. Indiana lost close games to Kentucky and Tennessee in December that they honestly should have won, and they are playing much better lately. (Then again, so is Tenn.)

Re: Stormeo. Curious what you'd like to see in the Marlyand/Uconn match-up? You think Maryland's style of play would pose problems for Uconn's defense?

I don’t think the ACC would have fared well in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

Maryland sports the best offense in the country, and they have some length & physicality on defense. On even an average day, they could run UConn outta the gym imo, especially if Bueckers gets no help that game (and certainly if Bueckers has an off game).

I would agree. They could.
