Aggies lead 17-14 after 1st period. Pretty tight game thus far....

Announcers are a hot mess (not surprising). South Carolina uninspiring on offense (missed layups, Henderson the only player who can create something that isn't a Boston layup). Texas A&M with quite suspect decision making on shots and poor unforced turnovers.

The Aggies lead by just 1 point - 35-34 - at the halftime break. Henderson leads the Gamecocks with 12 pts on 5-9 shooting. The Gamecocks are still turning the ball over too much, and are on pace for a near 20 turnover game. But they are in solid position, and hopefully make the proper adjustments to surge ahead in the 2nd half....

Either A&M is better than I thought, Or SoCaro is worse.

When they won the title they were so-so during the season but came on late.
Just noticed that TAMU has only taken one 3 all game.

South Carolina scored their first point of the half with 3:08 left in the quarter. Many, many missed shots close to the basket.

yeah, amazing number of missed layups. They make nice plays, beautiful passes or inbounds play...and then miss the layup.

S Car down 15? Their offense went cold, or is TAMU's defense that smothering? Or is it the hostile crowd?

Aggies out-score the Gamecocks 19-8 in the 3rd qtr., to take the solid 54-42 lead. Gamecocks shot 3-14 (.214) with 5 turnovers. Poorest 3rd qtr. effort I've seen from the team in quite a while....

ok, this kind of game made me look back at SoCaro's resume. I was surprised to see they really haven't beaten anybody outside the SEC. Their best OOC win was against ISU. Not sure what this means but boy, they do look terrible today.

A&M took lessons from SOCaro in the third quarter about how to shoot.

Texas A&M wins 65-57. This Gamecock squad is not a #1 Seed team.....

Great game on it's own but given that the SEC title was at stake a really great game.
TAMU looked like they might be feeling the pressure at the end but S Car just couldn't make shots.
Should be a great SEC tournament when it gets to the semis.

Texas A&M has six transfers and all from P5 schools [Notre Dame, Tennessee, Arkansas, Minnesota, Louisville, Rutgers].

I think that was true for both teams.

Blair, Brenda and Adia are ahead of the pack in the transfer recruit game. Kim doesn’t do to bad either.

I haven't followed The Aggies closely at all this season (or last, for that matter) but dang! I actually counted SEVEN transfers, but only 5 from P5 schools. Pretty amazing.
