There's been some question from Raoul as to why Cal had four assistant coaches only to have Kai Felton have her assistant coach title removed from the page. The obvious question is whether Felton follows Gottlieb to USC. Felton has a history at USC having assistant coached there for several years under Trakh. Gottlieb has only filled two spots (both unimpressively) and reports are that she lobbied for a highly increased budget for wbb. If Gottlieb does corral Felton to the Trojans, there should be plenty of happy UCLA and Pac fans. BTW, Smith's replacement assistant coaches at Cal haven't been so hot either, but Langley at UW has done very well.

I think Felton got kicked upstairs to an administrative position.

Boston University hires 2 assistants https://goterriers.com/news/2021/6/15/walker-williams-link-with-womens-basketball-staff.aspx
BOSTON - First-year Boston University women's basketball head coach Melissa Graves has completed her coaching staff, as Kourtni Williams and Ashley Walker have joined as assistant coaches.
Williams joins the Terriers after spending the previous seven years at the University of the Ozarks, where she served as an assistant coach, assistant director of enrollment management, and most recently as the head women's basketball coach.
Walker enters the coaching ranks after a successful professional playing career spanning over 10 years.

Well this is interesting now isn't it? I wonder what prompted her to leave now after EVERYTHING else that went on...seriously.

I had found Kelly Komara's bio on Marquette's website June 8th and posted about her hiring on here then. But this is the first announcement Marquette made of Komara's hiring - think they were waiting to announce both new assistants at once.

As the saying goes, "Nothing personal, strictly business." Unfortunately, as basketball fans we'll have to get used to this.
Texas has Jackson-Durrett, Lovato, McEntire and now Phillips as assistants. That's four. Did I miss something?

On p. 1 of the original post, thefutureisbright's update indicates that Lovato is out of the coaching business.
