UC Davis is 5-0. They missed a ton of games but are back playing now.
So the undefeated are:
Louisville
Cal Baptist
Bucknell---> Bucknell outscores Lehigh 27-9 in 4th quarter to win game.
UC Davis

Chicago State should really drop down a division.

By the way, of Bucknell's 8-0 record they are 4-0 vs Lehigh, 2-0 vs Loyola and 2-0 vs Lafayette, all in conference.
Of Bucknell's remaining games they have 2 more vs Loyola, 2 more vs Lafayette and 2 more vs American, before the conference tournament.

In the name of COVID, the Patriot League decided to divide its 10 teams into 3 mini-conferences and have the teams play 4 games against each of the other teams in its mini-conf with a few other games added in to reach a 16 game league schedule. They're not allowed to fly to games, so they play on Sat/Sun to minimize travel and school disruptions. They reschedule games on a weekly basis due to COVID issues. No OOC games (except for Army and Navy). This all seems kind of pointless to me. Just have a double elimination tournament at the end of the season instead.

Among the winless SMU has also called off their season.
As for the unbeatens, Bucknell's win over Lehigh was their last tough game. They should be able to get through the rest of the conference schedule, and I suspect they will play Lehigh again in their tournament.
Rankings for the unbeatens:
RPI
Louisville 2
Bucknell 3
UC Davis 57
Cal Baptist 72
NET
Louisville 6
Bucknell 28
Cal Baptist 93
UC Davis 112
Massey
Louisville 6
Bucknell 70
Cal Baptist 110
UC Davis 116
AP & Coaches Polls
Louisville 1
Others - No votes

Down to 3 Undefeated teams left
Cal Baptist 12-0 v D1(2 wins vs non D1 teams)
UC Davis 5-0
Bucknell 8-0
Cal Baptist can play in the WAC Tournament, but not the NCAA Tournament, only 3rd year in NCAA D1.
Not sure if there will be a WNIT this year, as they usually play games by bidding for them. With no home crowds not sure who will bid for games. Perhaps format can change.

Cal Davis already was getting ready to face its toughest games, playing Long Beach St next week. Now they have added a game on Saturday at Oregon so if the Aggies stay undefeated they will have earned it.

Monmouth got its first win of the season yesterday, 61-60 over Siena. The Hawks led most of the way but were caught midway through the fourth quarter. After Siena grabbed a 1 point lead with just over a minute to gothe lead held until Jen Leuro made a lay up with 2 seconds left. Leuro started her career at Mass Lowell before returning home to play with Monmouth.
Canisius called off the rest of the season. They haven't played in 2021.
That leaves 8 teams still playing who have yet to win:
Purdue Fort Wayne (0-16) - Closest loss Oakland 9 points
Tennessee St (0-14) - Georgia St 5 pts
Northwestern St (0-12) - Louisiana-Monroe 13 pts
Weber St (0-12) - Utah Valley 2 pts
California (0-11) - Arizona St 3 pts
Chicago St (0-7) - Seattle 11 pts
Loyola (Md.) (0-5) - American, Lafayette 9 pts
Merrimack (0-4) - Wagner 6 pts, overtime

Credit to UC Davis for picking up Oregon for a game Saturday. The Aggies played tough, leading the game for most of the first 3 quarters. Then Nyara Sabally took over the game in the 4th, scoring 13 points in the last stanza to lead the Ducks to a 63-57 win.
That leaves Bucknell and California Baptist as the only unbeatens.

Definitely a move to validate UC Davis' legitimacy.

Oregon will be playing undefeated Cal Baptist on Monday 2/22/21 at 1pm pacific time at CBU
Since Cal Baptist is not eligible for NCAA tournament this year(only 3rd year in D1), this will be their tournament like game.

Credit to Kelly Graves for scheduling these two games -- which can only hurt Oregon.
A lot of P5 coaches wouldn't deign to play upstarts like Davis and Cal Baptist, but Graves is not only giving those teams a shot at glory, he's helping out the sport as a whole.

Reminds me of a former coach at Tennessee (can't believe it has been almost 5 years since she passed). In the Vols' heydey, she would take that team anywhere to play anyone. And not just P5 schools, she would take them to top mid-majors as well, esp when they were good. She not only wanted to challenge her team, but it was all about spreading the word about women's basketball. I know she took her team to such places as Missoula MT, Burlington VT, Orono ME, Des Moines IA, etc. And those were all teams that were pretty good and drew big crowds. She was all about helping the game of women's basketball grow.

Just looked at schedules of both teams.
Both teams it will be their 3rd game in 4 days.
CBU home for Grand Canyon on 2/19 & 2/20 and Oregon is playing at the So Cal teams on 2/19 & 2/21.

Merrimack notches its first win over Monmouth -- well done! 8) |
The only problem with this story is that Merrimack did not play Monmouth. The Warriors came out to play-e-ay against far less scary birds than the Hawks, they just beat a flock of Blackbirds (actually LIU changed their nickname to Sharks 2 years ago).
Merrimack beat LIU 69-66 on Tuesday and again today 83-76 to notch their first 2 wins this season. Mayson Kimball led the Warriors with 20 points on Tuesday, and Senior Alyssa Casey scored 7 straight points to lead the 4th quarter comeback for their first win. Today Junior Kate Mager led the way with 26 points on 5-10 3pt shooting and 11 FT.
