18 TOs for OrSU at the end of the third and they trail by six.

But I really like their Frosh PG Goforth. She will be a keeper.

Tie game 68 apiece with 6:11 to go in regulation. It's been a really good game since partway through the 2nd quarter.

It seems to me Oregon State tends to start their seasons slowly, at least in these post-Sydney Wiese days. In this game at least, they're really missing Mikayla Pivec's leadership & calming presence on the floor. The guards other than Goodman are pretty inexperienced. And the post rotation doesn't really feature the kind of skyscraper players that we're used to seeing out of a Rueck-run team.

Maxwell shot 1-9, 0-5 at Oregon and tonight has 30 points.

But OrSU really missing their other big from last year - Kennedy somebody. I don't think I've ever seen Jones miss so many bunnies.

Goodman the only one having a really decent game for the Beavs.
Not too impressed with Scottie's substitutions/timeouts tonight.
And they should drop out of the top 25.

And Utah gets the upset, 85-79.

Utah's Brynna Maxwell finished with 34 points on 10-15 FG, 4-7 3PT.
The sophomore sharpshooter's gonna be a legit WNBA prospect for 2023. She shot 47% from 3 last season on over 5.5 attempts per game. And she's got size for a true SG at 6'0. She's for real.

For Oregon State, Aleah Goodman finished with 20 points on 7-10 FG, 5-7 3PT. Also chipped in 4 steals and had 4 assists to 2 turnovers. The senior PG could be a W prospect for this year if she has the breakout season she's expected to have. Good start so far. She's not speedy and not very tall at 5'9, but is a great shooter and has good b-ball IQ. We shall see how her season develops.

Kennedy Brown. It's surprising to see her not replaced in the starting lineup with their other super-tall player, Jelena Mitrovic. Instead, Taylor Jones is their only true post player while Corosdale and Mack are sort of two combo-forwards out there learning how to play altogether. Jones could continue to struggle having to go against players as big as or bigger than her. We'll see if this frontcourt dynamic continues throughout the season – it's a little weird looking right now haha.
