BTW, it happened quite a while ago but I don't think it was reported here, Lauren Schwartz did end up following Langley and Mulkey to UW. Maybe we won't finish dead last in the Pac-12 after all?

After getting stung by Taylor Hosendove, I don't know whether to believe our local sports reporter's Twitter account or not, but he reports that former Ole Miss/Morehead State F Gabby Crawford has committed to JMU.

He's kind of a ditz so I don't know what to believe. Also, it's her third school. Geez. |
Just heard yesterday that Gabby Crawford is NOT coming to JMU. This transfer was apparently deep-sixed by Coach O’Regan for unspecified reasons.

Gotta hand it to this coaching staff. They haven't been content to simply be idle during this transition and see if they can make do with who they have. Instead, with the help of a hyperactive transfer portal, they're getting players with experience who can lead the way in turning the program around sooner rather than later. |
Don't all newly hired coaching staffs hit the ground running as soon as they are hired? I mean, if they didn't, they sure aren't going to last long. Also, this new transfer portal, the covid effect, the extra year of eligibility, etc has certainly ramped up transfers and this year was a great time to take over a program with all these kids looking to make a change. It has basically given coaches a "new toy" to use in recruiting and redesign their rosters, most of which will look very different from last year.
