I think Mavunga looks much better than last year. But she's also gotten away with a lot of inside fouls. She should have been sitting out about the same time as Johnson.

Mavunga spent off-season conditioning and losing weight.

Important half time buzzer beater for McPhee to bring Stanford back to within 6

I think I'm right there with you, of course, I do have Cardinal colored glasses, but tOSU is getting away with ALOT inside.

I still don't understand Carrington's ability to turn her back to the defender while driving for a layup...what?

ok, this half more like what I expected from the beginning Crying or Very sad I cringe to think of the shellacking we will get on Sunday, but really there's some good things that have happened with the youngsters. Hopefully they'll grow up fast.

I am confused, Mitchell looks more fit than who? Danielle Adams. I know that was extreme but she was gassed in the second and O St still plays no D.

Who are the young ones as Stanford started all upperclassmen?

Sophs Fingall and Carrington
Frosh Dodson and Jerome

Fingall is really the only one who has had experience amongst those guys.

Then Smith gets hurt, that's not a good sign. Not sure what happened there.

Smith looks fine upon her return to court. Good news for Sunday.

Mavunga looks absolutely amazing...oftentimes the "had a great offseason" and "in the best shape of her life" lines are just noise but she's legitimately playing at a much higher level than last year, and that she's carrying this play deep into the 4th speaks volumes about her diet change and conditioning.

Stanford is doing a pretty horrible job at putting bodies on people though. Tons of weak side rebounds easily picked off by OSU

Where does Stanford sit in the PAC? Are they the best the league has to offer?

No. That would be UCLA or Oregon.

I think Stanford does have a lot of potential for growth. Keep in mind that this is a team that lost three starters from last season, they still have a lot of gelling to do--and tOSU is pretty much unchanged from last year. I think Stanford will be a very different team by the end of the year.

OSU lost two starters (Mccoy and Lewis) last year to transfer and graduated one.

Correct me if I am wrong but weren't you part of those who ripped on KML, check her midriff when she is at the free throw line.

Ripped? You mean pointed out that a player as slow afoot as she should do all she can, inc. losing weighr, to increase her value to her team?

Reread what I said re Mitchell. I compared her to her last yr. I didn't say she did what Mavunga did. She looks, to me, to be more fit than last yr.

Lewis has nothing to do w/ this as far as I can tell.
