Wonder what Queenie's thoughts are?

Jeopardy should take a cue from LIVE with Kelly & Ryan. Try out some hosts for a week at a time and see who works best.

I kinda like LeVar Burton for this. He's a big Jeopardy fan.

There are so many articles throwing out names of potential replacements. I just read one that suggested Keke Palmer, as if someone who doesn't know who Dick Cheney is would be credible as the smartest person in the room.

Does the host have to be or appear to be smart? I am old enough to remember the first Jeopardy run and that host treated it like a normal game show, which I preferred.

Levar Burton is 63. Al Michaels is 76. lol. I'm not a bookmaker but I'll cover ANY and all bets on Al Michaels becoming the next permanent host of Jeopardy._________________ Every woman who has ever been presented with a career/sex quid pro quo in the entertainment industry should come forward and simply say, “Me, too.” - jammer The New York Times 10/10/17 |

We will resume production on 11/30 with a series of interim guest hosts from the Jeopardy! family – starting with Ken Jennings. Additional guest hosts to be announced. |

Besides Jennings, I think they will have asked the other two contestants on "The Greatest of All Time" show. I am wondering if they are also considering some of the other contestants they brought back for the Team competition. I remember Buzzie and Austin (I think) the bartender. For some reason, the fact that he was a bartender made him stick out to me.
I wonder if these temporary hosts are being trialed for a permanent position or they are just waiting to negotiate a deal with some experienced TV host.
All 3 Jeopardy GOAT contestants are going to be the expert on The Chase.

And Ken Jennings is supposed to host (trial/interim/temp) the shows after that.
They originally planned to show Trebek's final shows in succession ending on or just before Christmas. But they decided to run re-runs for a few weeks to get his last week into January, I guess because the viewership will be higher that week.

Jennings seems to be trying to tweet his way out of the job

Christmas week also tends to come with a lot of preemptions for holiday programming, which would lead to a lot of angry viewers yelling at their stations. This week isn't much better with the Georgia runoffs, but I don't think they could hold those episodes any longer. I have the sneaking suspicion pilight and others from our Georgia contingent might not get the Tuesday episode, at minimum.

Usually with a known disruption they show it at a different time. Either 5:30 instead of an Andy Griffith rerun or 3:00 AM for the Tivo crowd.

Jeopardy did not get preempted here. They cut the last commercial break short so they could get a quick update in before NCIS.

Apparently today's nonsense is going to knock Jeopardy off the air

I am on the West Coast and they showed Jeopardy/Wheel of Fortune at 8:00pm instead of the normal 7:00pm timeslot. Who Wants to be a Millionaire was supposed to run for 3 hours in prime time and they ended up scrubbing that for Jeopardy/Wheel of Fortune and Shark Tank for the next two hours.

Will be interesting to see if Alex gives a goodbye statement. Like something he taped for this episode.
