and Cappie preseason POY choice. First time in 12 years not UConn as preseason favorite.

Man, it's going to be fun when UConn wins it again.

you're late; I already has a "fight" with Vandy about the uselessness of pre-season polls except for fun.

Just a wee bit of revisionist history there.

unintentional if there was; what didn't I say correctly? I believe my words at the time were "I don't know why you get worked up about preseason polls. You gotta prove it on the court."

Am I wrong?

EDIT:
Ah yes, here it is....

The top 2-4 picks on a preseason poll are usually pretty accurate. It's below those picks where the pollsters screw things up. The top three picks on this poll seem in order much like the preseason ACC poll. Cool

At least CVS voted for UConn. Wink

DTS's recent statement:

Here's the thread with the referred to "fight".

I'll leave it to people to come to their own conclusions as to whether "revisionist history" has taken place.

I revised my post to include the link already. And as I re-read it, I still nowhere said that someone who likes the polls is "inferior" as you said, and you still owe me an apology for it.

I didn't say that you said that someone who likes the polls is 'inferior' as you said I said. I don't think I owe you an apology, so none will be forthcoming, so it's pointless for you to keep asking. I'm sure that you will find a way to go on with your life anyway, however.

Again, if anybody is interested, they can draw their own conclusions.

I'll leave it after this, but you did say in response to my statement:

Sure, they don't count in the standings, and no matter where you're ranked or not-ranked, you have to prove it all on the court. But a lot of people find them interesting. If you don't, it's fine, but that doesn't mean that other people are somehow inferior if they do.

Yep, that's what I said. At least we agree on that. Smile
