Canada better be thanking someone that there isn't going to be a decision prior to the bronze medal game. (They could if they actually wanted to.)
I didn't see the game live, but I watched a couple of replays where their player stompped on Carley Lloyd's head and wasn't red carded.
I ususally like Canada and their athletes, but this soccer team seems to be taking on the personality of their whining coach.

There are always questionable calls. Usually the ones that get the most reviews are the ones at the end, but there are always lots of others that effect the match.
And yes, Tancredi is clearly a thug. Not only in that one clip, but multiple other times during the match.

If Canada had dominated the game, or looked the better team, I might be inclined to side with them at least sympathetically.
However, USA dominated the game, controlled the ball a vast majority of minutes, the best team won. What is their excuse on the final goal?
They got their asses beat, that is your answer to this controversy. |
