Funny. You're only literal when it suits you. Wink

I am interested in which mothers were athletically inclined as well. That's all.

Correct. I will generally select whichever interpretation allows me to be a bigger pain in the butt.

Me too.

Actually this whole thread is just asking to be made into a big list that can be maintained as more players with notable parents join the league, because there are some pretty interesting connections here.

I don't think Natalie Williams is Nate Williams' daughter ... but I certainly could be wrong.

According to Natalie's WNBA bio profile, she is Nate's daughter.

If and when Michigan State's Gary Harris makes the NBA, he'll be the first NBA player whose mother played in the WNBA - Joy Holmes Harris

Nope. Pam McGee, formerly of LA & Sac, is the mother of JaVale McGee, current Nugget.

If we're counting mothers, then Yolanda Griffith is the biological mother of Alicia DeVaughn.

Wouldn't they not count until Alicia plays in the WNBA, I haven't seen Maryland that much, not sure if she has what it takes.

But that would definitely cool, would they be the first biological mother/daughter to do that?

I was just stretching the scope of this thread a little more. Wink

As far as DeVaughn goes, she's long, athletic, a good defender, and Maryland is a top program. My guess is that she'll be drafted. What round obviously depends on what DeVaughn does in her senior year. With Hawkins gone, she'll have an opportunity to make more of an impact.

Hoping for a Swoopes/Jackson combination to join the list in the future.
