Using my increasingly lame Russian knowledge (and sometimes resorting to the English version which only makes things worse since they misspell most words), I am trying to dig out some news from their league.

Yo and T Edwards have joined UMMC Ekaterinburg. They will play alongside Brazilian Iziane Marques, who's leading the team in scoring at 18.4 PPG (that is if you don't count Yo's sole 23-point game). She had 27 in their latest game.

Dynamo Moscow added Sue Bird and Mwadi Mabika, but they haven't played yet. Supernova has played in just 6 games. Elen Chakirova is their leading scorer at 16.9 PPG. Dynamo is currently in second, having lost just one game.

Powerhouse VBM-SGAU Samara is undefeated so far. They have Sheryl Swoopes, Ann Wauters, Tammy Sutton-Brown and Edwige Lawson. Swoopes and Abrosimova didn't play in their last game though.

Anyways, the WNBA's A-list is playing in Russia, so I'd better pay more attention and speed up with my studies in Russian lol

Moscow Dynamo just beat the ever-lovin'-daylights out of Sporting Athens, 95-28. That's unbelievable.

You might see LJ around there at the end of the season. She's reportedly looking for a couple of games in Europe to get some match practice and Russia has the big bucks.
