... apparently scouting Shyra Ely (thanks to Hoquat/RU message board).

If so, why? Seattle doesn't need a 4 and Ely isn't much of a 3 either. I hope she was there, looking at Chelsea Newton (whose game I like a lot).

Maybe she was just catching up with her Olympic Games co-assistant coach over the holidays. I'm sure she was looking/scouting at the same time, while taking in the big hiney-wuppin' Rutgers was putting on the Lady Vols.

Maybe she was looking at Cappie to replace Tully.

Lorree Moore? Whoever they draft is going to sit a WHOLE lot, so maybe Anne wants to know how she looks on the bench. Smile

I think they'll go for a 2/3. A good 2/3 backup would play decent minutes (especially if Betty and Sheri continue to take their semi-regular in-game brain vacations).

Loree Moore is like Tamicha Jackson with even less shooting. I used to like her game but not so much anymore.

If Seattle needs anything it's a back-up two guard. They can always run Sue at the two when Tully's running the point, but it is just not her natural position.

Here's a question, especially in light of free agency mysteries to come...what happens if there is a bidding war for Lennox and she goes somewhere else for the money? Then Seattle will really be in a lurch for two guards. I can't think of another team that would want the Championship MVP, but anything is possible if players start moving from team to team for cap reasons.
