Poor babies. For winning the NC, they get to be a political prop- for an administration that would possibly deny some of them the right to get married, and would dismantle Title IX if it could.

Given the strong affiliation of Baylor to the Baptist church, I don't imagine many of them are that upset.

A big day for the Lady Bears and their coaches. Visiting the White House is a national champion's reward; Kim Mulkey-Robertson's making the cover of the phone book: priceless! No one, I'm sure, will make the fashion faux pas of flip-flops!
[By the way, I don't assume anything about the politics or sexuality of Baylor's women's basketball team and staff. KMR runs her own show.]

This is why I think it's such a travesty for schools to send their champions to the White House: A bunch of college kids become props for political posturing. The NWU women win a national championship, and that is forgotten in favor of a political joke about the shoes they are wearing- perfectly appropriate for both the occasion and the climate. I applauded when Michael Jordan (tactfully) refused to join the Bulls in their trip to the White House.

I talk to sophia from time to time and I asked her about her trip to the white house and she said she had fun..to quote her "yeah we went to the white house on wednesday... it was mad fun... we had a great time.... the president is a really cool guy... he took us in the oval office and spoke to us for about 30 mins on random stuff... it was pretty neat"
