A comment on "running up the score." That really doesn't exist internationally because at least in pool play you get points for the size of the victory. So teams internationally want to run the score up, and it's not necessarily seen as bad form as it would be in the US.
Good game for us. Nice to see us shake the jitters off. Taurasi had a particularly great game, as did Fowles. I really loved to see our bench get so much time, too.

Very nice opening match by team USA, very balanced.
That wasn't live was it? I mean I guess it could've been considering it's only 9:47 PM in China.

Yep, it was. There's still one more game to come as well, but when you're playing six games a day all on the same court, you've got to start pretty early and end pretty late.
